At Palm Cottages we seek to enhance the quality of life and independence of residents by providing assistance and supervision with the activities of daily living so that each resident may realize his or her full potential. Activities of daily living include a helping hand with bathing, dressing and medication management.

We had a great few days at Palm Cottages!! On Friday we did a mini walk for Alzheimers. We had some families members and residents walk the property and then came into the clubhouse for some treats and drinks.

Then Saturday morning our Forget Me Nots walking team joined the Walk to End Alzheimers at Cocoa Village. It was a great turnout!! Thanks for everyone's support we are only a few hundred dollars short of our $2000 goal.

Family and friends, we are doing a community walk to promote the Walk to End Alzheimer's happening on Saturday, September 27th in Cocoa Village Waterfront. Our community walk will be on Friday, September 26th at 10 AM. We will be walking around the community grounds and then afterwards will have some pastries, fruit and drinks in the Clubhouse. Please come join us.

We finished ALF Week with International Day on Thursday!! Antonio did a phenomenal job of all the great food for our staff. He made jersey chicken wings, kimchi chicken pot stickers, beef empanadas and lastly different types of quiche.

Thanks to Mederi Caretenders Hospice and Advanced Nursing Concepts for the amazing fruit, popcorn chicken and dips spread for the staff. It was a huge success. Also a huge shout out to Amy B. Van Fossen for the cookie tray.

The residents got pampered with some manicures.

Friday we took it back to the whimsical times of storybook characters!! Thanks to all the staff for participating it was a great week.

The residents enjoyed some cotton candy and milkshakes. It was a great way to end the week.

In our child like adventure we were toys for the day. We had some great inventive ideas yesterday. I will have to say the traveling co****le was a fan favorite. Thanks to Concierge Home Care for the cake! Also a thank you to Health First for their cookie and brownie platter.

The residents enjoyed having a simple soup/salad at our Lunch Bunch outing to Panera!!

It was a WILD one yesterday with our Safari/Animal Print Day. Thanks to St. Francis Hospice for delivering us some wonderful brownies and cupcakes for our staff.

A huge shout out to Mister Softee Ice Cream Truck for serving up some amazing sweet treats for our residents and staff. It was a great day!!
