Brianne LoTempio, LMFT

Brianne LoTempio, LMFT ~Support for healing, growth, and authentic living~ I have experience working with individuals, couples, families, and groups regarding a variety of issues.

Everyone struggles periodically when going through difficult seasons in life; often they would benefit from some additional support and guidance to help them find relief and healing. I believe that my role in therapy is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment in which I may accompany my clients on their journey navigating life and its challenges, supporting and empowering them on a path toward healing, growth, and abundance. I view my clients as unique individuals who have a significant story to tell and tailor my therapeutic approach to their specific needs and personality. I strive to help my clients examine and improve their relationships with themselves, others, and the world around them in order to make positive changes in life and reduce existing pain, struggles, and fears. I aim to help bring clients out of places of darkness and brokenness by identifying and building on their strengths, providing tools and resources for positive change and healing, and illuminating the future with hope and a greater sense of purpose. If you feel like you could benefit from some extra support, please contact me today. I look forward to hearing from you!

*Sessions are available by appointment only and fees are determined by a sliding fee scale. I am currently taking new clients!*

An important reminder to encourage you that just because a chapter may be ending, the story isn’t over yet. Beautiful new beginnings can often only take place after other things have come to an end. Endings can be difficult, but are necessary parts of our healing and growth journeys. ✨

Oftentimes, people have very narrow definitions of success which are frequently based on monetary and material assets. However, redefining success to include elements of health and wellbeing may provide your life with more value as well as boost your mood and self-worth. There’s so much more to life than money; remember to value the things that truly matter. ✨

It is easy to allow your empathy and care for others to be put before caring for yourself. However, it is crucial to remember that if you don’t take care of yourself first, which includes setting healthy boundaries to protect your energy and your time, you will become run down to the point of being able to care for others. This principle is illustrated well in the case of emergencies arising during air travel: each passenger is instructed to place the oxygen mask on themselves prior to assisting others to do so. Sometimes the best thing you can do for others is to take care of yourself. A healthy you is the most capable of helping someone else. Always remember that you matter, too! ✨

For support in learning how to set healthy boundaries and implement self-care, contact me today! ✨

Have you been carrying around the heavy burden of shame? Many of us have been made to feel shame about things that have happened in our past or are fearful that we would be shamed if anyone learned about the secrets that we keep. Holding on to secrets that we feel are shameful are toxic to our bodies and negatively impact our mental health. Therapy can be a safe and supportive environment to share your stories and relieve yourself of the heavy burden of shame. ✨

Contact me if you would like support in releasing shame and sharing your story. ✨

Most people struggle with insecurities and body image issues. This is only made worse in a culture that promotes extreme (and often unhealthy) beauty and body ideals. If you struggle to love your body or your appearance, it can be immensely helpful to focus on what your body does for you rather than merely valuing it based on its appearance. Having gratitude for all the wonderful things your body enables you to experience will increase your self-love and strengthen a more positive self-image. ✨

If you need therapeutic support to improve your self-talk and self-esteem, contact me today. I would love to support you on your journey to loving yourself. ✨

Do you struggle with persistent negative thoughts or find yourself constantly worrying? So many of us struggle with anxiety which steals joy from our lives. Much of the time, we find ourselves anxious about things that are beyond our control. Devoting our time and focus to worrying about uncontrollable things or an unknowable future deprives us of the ability to enjoy the present and fully engage in the life going on around us. ✨

Choosing to actively ground yourself in the present moment is immensely helpful in decreasing anxious thoughts and freeing your mind from worry. If you’d like support in learning to let go of the thoughts that you tend to ruminate on, contact me for therapeutic services or information. ✨

You might not have succeeded in accomplishing your intended goal, but the outcome still provides you with information. If you learn the lesson and move forward with new insight, then it hasn’t really been a failure at all! ✨
