Opa!

Home of the Acropolis, the Olympic games and the birthplace of western civilization, the country of Greece has made countless contributions to the world we live in. But one of the best contributions is the food.

Our Taste Greece event featured classic spanakopita, chicken souvlaki, Greek salad, tzatziki and pita. And for dessert? Why, baklava of course!

We also enjoyed a National Geographic travel documentary about Greece and ended the evening with a showing of the film "Zorba the Greek."

We can't wait to see – and taste – the cuisine from our destination in January!

Aloha! 🌺 We were thrilled to welcome Grass Valley Hula O’Hana for one of our favorite annual traditions! Their beautiful hula dancing and vibrant spirit brought so much joy to our community, and it's always so touching to see our very own Joann (or Mohala as the halau affectionately calls her!) move along with the music. ❤️

Our memory care residents enjoyed a beautiful scenic drive today — taking in the colorful landscapes, fresh air, and peaceful views. There were smiles, shared stories, and plenty of “oohs and ahhs” along the way as we took in all the Fall colors!

It may be getting colder outside, but we kept things toasty with our Coats & Kindness Social Series event!

We enjoyed a winterwear fashion show with seasonal treats and a decadent coca and cider bar as we collected coats and warm items to donate to our local community. The stars of the show? Our fabulous models! Resident Patty was definitely the highlight of the afternoon, followed by our wonderful team members Marnie, Jace, Samantha, Liza, Anna, James, as well as Agatha with ProHealth and Cristina from Living Rehab.

We can't think of a better way to stay cozy and help others! Didn't get a chance to bring your winterwear donation? That's okay! We're still accepting donations of lightly worn winterwear until December 1st.

On Veterans Day, our community came together to honor the heroes who have served our country.

We enjoyed a patriotic lunch, shared personal stories, learned about the history of the holiday and paid tribute to the veterans who call our communities home – and those who continue to inspire us every day.

A special thank you to ProHealth Home Care - California for their beautiful and touching pinning ceremony honoring our veterans.

Baby, it's cold outside! Save the date for a winterwear fashion show with seasonal treats as we collect coats and warm items to donate to the local community. Help us keep our greater community warm this winter by donating gently used winter wear. Items needed are jackets, gloves, hats, scarves, and warm socks. 🧣🧤🧦

Our fashion show will be on Thursday, November 13 at 2:30 PM. RSVP to the Front Desk if you would like to attend! 916.435.8800

We got a little bit spooky and had a whole lot of fun for our Halloween spirit week!

Residents celebrated with a Halloween-themed Happy Hour on Wednesday, our Kids, Kindness & Candy celebration on Thursday, and Monster Mash bingo followed by a Halloween party on Friday.

Staff and residents enjoyed dressing up for our theme days. From wizards and witches, to difference decades, to spooky and silly Halloween costumes, the week was filled with fun and lots of laughter.
