Bridging the Gap - Autism Consultation and Therapy Services

Bridging the Gap - Autism Consultation and Therapy Services Supporting autistic and neurodivergent kids through sensory-based occupational therapy, music-driven regulation, and “Play with a Purpose” social groups.

Presuming competence. Building real connection.

Haircuts used to feel impossible.

Too much sensory input. Too much uncertainty. Too much demand.

But participation doesn’t begin with forcing compliance. It begins with helping the nervous system feel safe enough to engage.

With preparation, trust, the right supports, and time, meaningful participation becomes possible.

What looks like a simple haircut can actually represent regulation, motor planning, co-regulation, predictability, and a whole lot of hard-earned progress.

This is what foundation-first support looks like.

Wonder what’s possible with the right support? Reach out to BTG.

We had the honor of attending an incredible spelling workshop with .crandall at HEED RPM, with multiple sessions that made a lasting impact, both professionally and personally.

We’re always committed to learning, growing, and expanding our understanding of communication and access, especially for individuals who are non-speaking or have complex motor planning needs.

Beyond grateful!

Light proprioceptive input via bread loading. 🥖

Proprioceptive input is the muscle and joint feedback we get from gripping and lifting. Even light items activate the body’s awareness system. That feedback helps the brain understand where the body is in space and can support coordination, focus, and regulation.

Sometimes what looks random is actually the body organizing itself.

Drop a 🥖 if your child turns every errand into a sensory adventure!

How many minutes does it take to get regulated? There isn’t a magic number. While 60 minutes of daily movement is a healthy baseline, what really matters is the type of input. Heavy work, spinning, climbing, and rhythmic repetition organize the nervous system far more than random activity. Sometimes 10–15 intentional minutes can shift the entire day. This isn’t just movement. It’s regulation in action. 🔄💪🧠

If this helped you see movement differently, share or repost. 🤍
