Common listening styles when the BODY talks:

- ignore & avoid
- override to “get ‘er done”
- react with force—mash that knot into submission
- chase someone to FIX & make the discomfort stop
- pause, get curious and respond
- catastrophize
- thoughtfully attend to the body’s message

Y’all the body is not wrong. It communicates for a REASON.

Your response is more IMPORTANT than the reason.

Why?

Your body knows what to do. Created with a divine intelligence. It’s the expert in the room.

Wanting what’s possible and stuck.

The longer I stayed stuck in pain, illness and focused on the FIX

The wonder of experiencing life fully, present, healthy and connected diminished.

Survival. Functional Freeze.
Seeking Relief from someone or something to help me feel BETTER.

Then, 2 things dawned on me.

God, the creator of the Universe, designed the body. My body.

AND

The body’s potential to heal IS within.

I am MISSING an important connection.

Fascia. Flow. Frequency. Faith.

THIS connection creates conditions in the body to gravitate towards healing.

Hanging with this guy this morning prepping for “learning” with and some amazing souls.

Working with 1000’s of bodies seeking something…relief, change, healing

I observed the multitude of data, programs, supplements, meal plans, modalities and knowledge fell short

Despite the amount of knowledge, courses, learning new things or unlearning old things.

Until…the EXPERIENCE during the learning was different….

This week during the Rapha Body Map class a student shared,
“I never connected what was happening in my life to when my sciatica started 7 years ago.”

Together we cultivated 2 daily practices for her to experience what the body wanted to move from that pain point.

The body is amazing!

When the learning EXPERIENCE cultivates the right conditions, the body gravitates towards healing.

How?

Through the BODY.

The experience is embodied versus collecting info in the mind.

So…not to unlearn WHAT you learn

but HOW you learn
