“Hakuna Matata” wasn’t just a song—it was Baby Trinity’s anthem during her NICU journey. And now, after 146 days in the NICU, Trinity has officially gone HOME from Catholic Health’s Mercy Hospital — healthy, strong, and full of “no worries.” Born at just 26 weeks and weighing 1lb 14oz, this tiny fighter beat the odds every day with the help of her incredible care team and the unwavering love of her parents, LaTashia and David, and grandmother
With The Lion King playing daily by her bedside, Trinity reminded all of us — staff, family, and fellow NICU parents — that strength can come in the smallest packages.
Today, she’s home in her own crib (with no wires!), weighing over 11lbs, and beginning the next chapter of her beautiful life. 🏡✨
Big thanks to our amazing NICU team — especially during — for making moments like this possible. 💪👶

A Moment of Inspiration at Mercy Hospital’s Rehab Unit.
One of our stroke patients, a reverend with a heart full of gratitude and creativity, recently wrote and performed an original song reflecting on his journey in the Rehab Unit. Surrounded by therapists and techs in the rehab gym, he sang his heartfelt lyrics as a tribute to the care, support, and healing he experienced during his stay. It was a powerful reminder of the resilience of the human spirit—and the impact of compassionate rehabilitation.
