đź’” In Honor of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day

Silence. Shame. Isolation. These are the words that came up in our Pregnancy Loss Group when we asked, “What do you feel when you think about your loss?”

In our latest blog, Pregnancy and Infant Loss: The Power of Community, HHP therapist Chana Topek-Diamond, LCSW reflects on what happens when that grief is finally seen and supported by others who see you.

This post is for anyone who has held loss quietly. For anyone who needed community and didn’t know where to find it. For anyone grieving not just a pregnancy, but the hopes, moments, and futures that were imagined with it.

We share this today in honor of all the babies who are deeply missed, and the families who carry that love forward. You are not alone.

We are pleased to welcome MSW intern Afeefa Ahmad to the HHP team.

Afeefa's approach to therapy: "My approach to therapy is rooted in kindness, compassion, and collaboration. I create a safe, warm space where clients can be themselves and know that I will sit with them through both the heavy moments and the hopeful ones. I believe that everyone brings their own strengths and resilience into the room and part of my role is to help highlight those qualities, even when they can be hard to see. I always aim to meet clients where they are and give them time to process everything at their own pace. My goal is to walk alongside each person as they move toward healing and new beginnings. Above all, I hope therapy is a place where clients don’t feel like they have to carry everything alone, where they can breathe more easily, and where their voice and story matters."

Afeefa offers low to no-fee therapy sessions in Rockville Centre and virtually across NYS.

To book a session with Afeefa or refer someone, please call 516.442.1116 or visit or our website hhptherapy.com.
