This afternoon, it was our profound honor at Thomas A. Glynn & Son Funeral Home to serve the Diocese of Rockville Centre and the faithful in caring for the funeral services of Bishop William F. Murphy at St. Agnes Cathedral.
In a moment filled with reverence and deep respect, our pallbearers carried Bishop Murphy on their shoulders from the Cathedral—surrounded by brother clergy, loved ones, and a grateful community—beginning his final journey to Queen of Peace Cemetery.
To shoulder the casket of a shepherd who dedicated his life to serving others is a responsibility we do not take lightly. It is a privilege rooted in dignity, tradition, and faith.
We are humbled to have been entrusted with these sacred services and extend our continued prayers to Bishop Murphy’s family, the clergy, and all those mourning his passing.

Standing in quiet reverence, our pallbearers pause at the doors of St. Agnes Cathedral, preparing to bring Bishop William Murphy into the church he served so faithfully. In that stillness, there is respect, honor, and a deep sense of responsibility — not just to the man, but to his life of service, his faith, and the countless lives he touched.
It is a privilege to be entrusted with this final act of care — to walk alongside a community in mourning, and to help carry a shepherd home.
May God grant Bishop Murphy eternal rest, and may his legacy continue to guide and inspire.

Today, we had the honor of participating in the Rockville Centre St. Patrick’s Parade alongside so many incredible members of our community. It’s always a special day celebrating Irish heritage, tradition, and the strong community spirit that makes Rockville Centre so unique.
We are grateful to march with friends, neighbors, and local organizations who make this village such a wonderful place to live and serve.
