We’ve been busy, but our team gathered this month for a belated holiday party at .official in Bethesda, and it was a great time—including a huge lazy Susan in the center of the table controlled by a button. 🤯

Nobody left hungry, but we did miss Dr. Kissiova, Melissa, and Nicole.

We know that entertaining your child while waiting for the doctor can be challenging! That’s why we love ditching screens and instead offer sanitized, individual play buckets filled with fun activities for kids to explore while they wait. You never know what you might find in one of our buckets!

Our next Baby Q&A session will be held Wednesday, April 8th, from 1–2 PM on Zoom, hosted by our Lactation Consultant: Sharon Curry, IBCLC.

This casual, drop-in meeting is open to all new parents and their babies. Everyone is welcome — moms, dads, breast- or formula-feeding parents, first-time parents, or those with many little ones!

Bring your questions as you navigate your baby’s first year, and our “baby expert” will provide guidance and support.

Did you know? Dr. Hirsch designed every space in the Hirsch Pediatrics office with families in mind! Even our bathroom is thoughtfully equipped with diapers and a toddler seat to make visits easier. 🎉 Always clean and sanitized for your peace of mind, we strive to make every aspect of your visit stress-free.

Baby Bradley Olexa was born on Saturday, March 7, weighing 7 lbs 15 oz. Dr. Olexa will be on maternity leave until June. The Olexa family, including big brother Jack, are doing well.

Baby Bradley is modeling our Hirsch Pediatrics swaddle that we give to all new patients! He loves to sleep with his arms out. 💛

Congratulations to the Olexa family!

Meet Nicole! 🎉 Nicole joined our team in 2026 as our new Patient Care Manager. In addition to providing direct patient care and lactation support, Nicole helps manage all aspects of our family‑centered, evidence-based, approach to patient care.

Nicole grew up in Montgomery County and earned her BS in psychology from Towson University. She later received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Montgomery College and will complete her BSN from the University of Maryland Global Campus in May 2026.

Nicole began her nursing career in the Mother‑Baby Unit at Holy Cross Hospital, where she gained valuable experience caring for new mothers and newborns, with a special focus on breastfeeding support. She is excited to bring her skills to outpatient pediatrics and looks forward to building long‑term relationships with the families in our community.

Before becoming a nurse, Nicole spent more than 10 years working at Butler’s Orchard and also served as a substitute teacher for MCPS. Nicole enjoys camping, visiting new places and spending time with family, friends and dogs. 🐶

As many of you may know, our own Dr. Olexa is expecting her second baby this month! Our team gathered to celebrate her growing family and wish her well as she awaits the arrival of their newest addition.

Dr. Olexa will be on leave until June, and we look forward to sharing the wonderful news of the baby’s arrival. 🎉
