Measles is real! The MMR vaccine is a safe and effective way to protect children against measles, mumps, and rubella—three serious diseases that can lead to complications like pneumonia, brain swelling, and hearing loss.

🛡 Safety: The MMR vaccine has been used for over 50 years with an excellent safety record.

✅ Effectiveness: Two doses provide about 97% protection against measles. High vaccination rates are essential to prevent outbreaks and keep our community safe.

Vaccination isn’t just about individual health—it’s how we protect each other. If you have questions about the MMR vaccine, we're here to help.

An infant born prematurely and infected with measles has died in Canada. The infant’s mother was infected and had not received the MMR vaccine. Ontario has reported 1,729 confirmed cases of measles since Oct. 28, 2024, and the CDC has confirmed 1,168 cases in the U.S. this year as of June 6. Learn more in AAP News: https://bit.ly/4mOcNEb

Misinformation about fetal cells, thimerosal, mercury and aluminum salts are frequently cited as reasons not to get vaccinated.

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Wonder Years Pediatrics!
Today, we celebrate the strength, love, and dedication of all mothers and mother-like figures who shape the lives of children every day.

To show our appreciation, we handed out flowers this Friday to each of the amazing moms who came through our doors. Your care, compassion, and tireless support do not go unnoticed.

Thank you for all you do—today and every day!

From check-ups to lightsaber battles, we’re here for every adventure!

Even Jedi need check-ups! Here’s some Star Wars–inspired health advice from Wonder Years Pediatrics:

1. Stay hydrated like a Tatooine native!
Even without twin suns, kids need plenty of water every day.
2. Get enough sleep—Yoda did, and look how wise he was!
Growing minds and bodies need rest to recharge their Force.
3. Wash your hands like you just shook hands with Jabba.
Good hygiene keeps the dark side (germs!) away.
4. Vaccines: your shield against the Empire of illness.
Stay up to date to protect yourself and others.
5. Healthy snacks fuel the Resistance!
Choose fruits, veggies, and whole grains to keep energy levels high.
6. Use the Force… to move your body!
Active play keeps kids strong—lightsaber duels count!
