In 2026, Montgomery & Prince George’s Hospice marks 45 years of walking alongside patients and families during life’s most tender moments.

For four and a half decades, our care has been rooted in dignity, comfort, and human connection. It has shown up in quiet rooms, late-night conversations, gentle hands, and unwavering presence when it mattered most.

We are profoundly grateful to the patients and families who trusted us, the healthcare partners who walked beside us, and the donors who believed in this mission. Most of all, we honor the staff and volunteers whose compassion and commitment continue to shape who we are.

This milestone is not just a reflection of where we have been. It is a promise of how we will continue to serve with heart, excellence, and purpose. Thank you for being part of our story.

Here’s to 45 years of gentling the journey. 💙

As we close out this year, we pause with deep gratitude and reflection.

This year was marked by meaningful milestones, quiet moments of compassion, and the steady work of living our mission every single day. Guided by our vision and values, we had the privilege of walking alongside patients and families during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives, offering comfort, dignity, and presence when it mattered most.

We are profoundly thankful to the patients and families who entrusted us with their care, and to our hospital and healthcare partners who collaborated with us to ensure seamless, compassionate support across our community. Thank you also to our donors, whose generosity helped to make our work possible. Your collective trust is something we hold with the greatest responsibility and respect.

None of this would be possible without our extraordinary staff and volunteers. Your dedication, empathy, and resilience continue to shape who we are and how we serve. You are the heart of our organization, and your impact reaches far beyond what words can capture.

As we look ahead to 2026, we do so with hope, purpose, and gratitude; excited for what the future holds, committed to growing our impact, and ready to continue gentling the journey for all who need us.

Thank you for being part of our story.

The holidays can be an emotionally tender season when someone we love is seriously ill or has died.

Grief and joy often sit side by side, and moments meant for celebration can carry a quiet ache.

At Montgomery & Prince George’s Hospice, we want our community to know that you do not have to navigate this season alone. Connect Sooner, Live Better reflects our belief that reaching out to trusted friends, family, coworkers, and/or healthcare resources can bring comfort, understanding, and gentle support when needed most.

We offer workshops throughout the year for those experiencing grief and loss. These tailored workshops provide safe and supportive spaces where you can learn, share, and feel in community with others navigating the same journey. We are here when you need us.

On this and every day, we honor and thank the men and women (and their families!) who have served our nation, at home and abroad.

It is our privilege to care for Veteran patients, and to honor them through our Pinning Ceremonies, which are performed by fellow Veterans.

An extra special salute to our Veteran staff and volunteers, who continue to serve others through their hospice & palliative work.
