Today, we recognize the importance of caring for our mental and emotional well-being. For those we serve, their families, and our dedicated teams, mental health is an essential part of the journey.

Working in hospice care means walking alongside others through some of life’s most tender moments. It's a reminder that caring for others begins with caring for ourselves too.

Let this day be a moment to pause, reflect, and offer kindness, to yourself and those around you. Mental health matters every day.

We are grateful to our Life Director, Catherine Leggett, for graciously opening her home, and to her co-host Angela Graham, Board Director, for bringing the community together to learn about our services.

This special event, attended by some of our leadership and medical teams, and some Board members, provided information about the benefits of palliative and hospice care for traditionally underserved communities.

Montgomery Hospice & Prince George's Hospice remains committed to ensuring that everyone has access to the care they deserve; and to bringing comfort, dignity, and support to them and their families.

For 26 years, Casey House, our inpatient hospice facility, has been home-away-from-home for thousands of our community members living with a life-limiting illness.

What makes this facility exceptional are the caring and expert professionals who provide patient-centered care to those in their care, and compassionate and informative support to their loved ones. At the heart of the care team are nurses and nursing aides who help with soothing pain, personal grooming, a warm touch, and listening ear.

We are grateful to the Eugene B. Casey Foundation for the $1M dollar-for-dollar pledge challenge to the Casey House Endowment for Nurses and Nursing Aides. Please click on the link below to see our progress and how you can help us reach the fundraising goal.
