Such a moving performance of Ghosted by Imagination Stage in partnership with Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group. We’re so proud that EveryMind’s Director of Community Mental Health Education, Jennifer Grinnell, joined the post-show panel discussion to share more about 988.

The arts have such a powerful way of bringing conversations about youth mental health to life. Schools and organizations can request this play at Imagination Stage’s website. We highly recommend bringing it to your community. 💙

Maryland students need your voice. Proposed legislation would cut $20 million from school mental health funding that supports students across the state. Last year alone, this funding helped 136,000+ students in nearly 90% of public schools. A vote is happening tomorrow. We are asking you to reach out to your legislators on the House Appropriations Committee and the Senate Budget & Tax Committee and urge them to protect school mental health funding. Take action before midnight tonight: https://www.votervoice.net/MHAMD/Campaigns/122956/Respond

There is a lot happening in the world right now, and the constant stream of news and current events can feel overwhelming.

For veterans, service members, and military families, news about conflict and military operations can also bring up memories, stress, or concern for those who may be serving.

If you or someone you care about needs support, help is available.

📞 Call or text 988 to reach a compassionate counselor.

Veterans, service members, and their loved ones can press 1 to connect with the Veterans Crisis Line.

Here in our region, EveryMind’s ServingTogether program helps connect active duty service members, veterans, National Guard and Reserve members, family members, and caregivers across the DMV to coordinated care, community education, and trusted local resources at no cost.

If you are part of the military community and looking for guidance or support, our care coordinators are here to help.

Visit https://hubs.la/Q046qzNy0 and complete the Get Assistance Now form, or call 1-855-738-7176.

Last week in Annapolis, EveryMind stood alongside lawmakers, educators, providers, and community partners to make one thing clear: behavioral health support for Maryland’s students is not optional.

Our Therapeutic Mentor at Laurel High School, Tameelah Dawson, stood alongside one of her students at a statewide press conference to share firsthand how school based mental health supports are changing lives and what is at risk if funding is reduced.

Thank you to WBAL-TV 11 News, WYPR, and Direct Connection on Maryland Public Television for helping elevate this critical conversation because Maryland’s students deserves access to care that helps them heal, grow, and succeed.
