I know that I may have been a little quiet on IG recently (more on that another time), but that doesn’t mean I’ve been quiet in the OR. Another breast lift using the patient’s own tissue without implants and combination arm lift with liposuction and axilloplasty. The patient is over the moon with her early results!! happy

Check out this extended tummy tuck results. The real key with tummy tucks is extending the incision far enough to capture the loose skin not only in the lower abdomen, but also in the hip region. If that skin is not removed, it can result in dog ears or residual “muffin topping” of the skin on the sides.

We see it way too often in patients that have had tummy tucks elsewhere and then complain about those areas afterwards. Some patients are concerned about the length of the incision, but these incisions are all hidden under your bathing suit/underwear. We mark all of our patients in their undergarments to make sure all of these incisions are concealed.

Check out this 1-year postop result for our 53-year-old patient who underwent an abdominoplasty with liposuction of the back, flanks and abdomen. We are so happy for her.

Remember age is just a number. We perform tummy tucks in patients well into their late 60s. If you’re thinking about it and you’re in good health, go for it!

Ya know what today is…May the 4th be with you!! In honor of that, a 4 month before and after pics from my weight loss patient who underwent an arm lift with liposuction. Love seeing all of her pics in tank tops and short sleeves.

This patient underwent a previous tummy tuck by another plastic surgeon and came to me concerned that her outer thighs and buttocks were sagging and did not match her front anymore. She underwent a posterior lower body lift with fat transfer to the bilateral buttocks with fat from her back, flanks and upper buttocks. Her incisions connected to her previous tummy tuck incisions on the front. Now her entire torso is contoured.

Although most of my patients get lower body lifts, it’s not uncommon for some patients to just get a tummy tuck and another procedure on there front (arms or breasts). They can come back and later lift their buttocks if it they desire. It all comes down to listening to the patient so the procedure matches their goals and expectations.
