Thank you, Montgomery County MD Council members for this proclamation and for your continued support of the work that happens at The Tree House, and throughout the county, to protect children. Keeping children safe and helping them heal takes community effort, and we're grateful for the shared commitment to protecting kids in Montgomery County.

Councilmember Katz, County Executive Elrich and the entire Council recognized April as National Child Abuse Awareness Month, encouraging residents to learn more about prevention and join in community efforts that ensure every child grows up safe and supported.

Thank you so much for visiting us!

I spent time today touring the The Tree House CAC of Montgomery County Maryland - the staff was so caring and dedicated. They do very needed work and very tough work. I am in awe of the things they see on a daily basis and still come in day after day to help and to heal.

It is necessary work and I am truly humbled by those who choose to undertake it. I am glad that City of Rockville Government is working with them.

This Child Abuse Prevention Month, we want to spotlight some of our mental health team who help hundreds of young survivors each year — completely free of charge.
