We understand the challenges you face in raising a child who struggles with anxiety or OCD (we call it “sticky thoughts”). When a child is avoidant of situations, you’ll find yourself caught between the desire to push your child through the discomfort, to the natural tendency to accommodate your child’s (often unreasonable) requests.

The evidence-based SPACE protocol helps parents understand their child's anxiety & respond in a manner that supports their child’s confidence to confront their worries and improves their ability to effectively cope with anxious thoughts & feelings.

SPACE Therapy group might be reimbursable through your out-of-network benefits with CPT code 90853.

💫THERE'S HOPE!!💫
🌟🚽Tummy Troopers is BACK!🚽🌟
💛What if instead of feeling hopeless and ashamed, your child's toileting struggles could help them feel STRONG, RESILIENT and CONNECTED?
💩If you feel like you are saying and doing all the wrong things to help your child move forward in their toileting process, you’re not alone - and you don’t have to figure it out alone either.
💖Tummy Troopers is a playful, sensory-based group where children and their caregivers explore body signals, reduce stress and shame, and build comfort, curiosity, and confidence - together.
In each session, we:
🧠 Use neuro-behavioral tools to support body awareness and regulation.
🫶 Practice gentle, body-based strategies to help reduce accidents and anxiety.
🌿 Offer holistic tips and calming routines to support toileting success at home.
🤝 Strengthen the parent–child partnership so your child doesn’t feel alone in this.
🌱With movement, games, and lots of sensory fun, your child will feel seen, supported, and safe to grow.
💬 One caregiver attends with the child.

Growing Minds Center for Child and Family Therapy

Growing Minds offers expertise in social-emotional development; specializing in early childhood through adolescence as well as parents as individuals and couples.

We believe that change and personal growth occur when parents feel understood and empowered while, at the same time, children feel accepted and connected. It is our mission to deepen your insight into your child’s behaviors and inner world. Growing Minds provides mindful, intentional, and specialized parenting strategies to both manage challenges and highlight your family’s unique strengths.

We integrate evidence-based methods that focus on the whole-child through individual, family, and group therapy modalities, along with collaboration with schools, specialists, and community resources.
