NOTICE: Some individuals are experiencing difficulties with access to the ABMGG Portal.

The following Portal functionalities MAY be impacted:

ITE registration,
CertLink access in order to complete the current segment, and
2026 certification examination registration

We are in touch with our portal vendor, who is troubleshooting the problem. We will post updates to the ABMGG website as information is shared with us.

The deadline for completion of the current CertLink segment has been extended to January 22, 2026, at 11:59pm ET.

The ABMGG office will be closed December 24 through January 2, but we will be periodically working in the event of an urgent issue. Your email/call will be addressed in the order received and according to severity, as quickly as possible, but expect delays due to the holidays.

The ABMGG is proud to announce that we have 177 new diplomates certified in medical genetics and genomics with an additional 46 diplomates adding new specialties/subspecialty following this year’s certification exams.

ABMGG had a great time at in Boston! We enjoyed connecting with students/trainees from all over the world who were curious about the path to board certification, as well as seeing current diplomates check in on the status of their continuing certification.

We are eager to further network with you all at future meetings as you continue your genetics journey!

The ABMGG Board of Directors met for a productive two days, covering a variety of topics such as logbook requirements, updates on our assessments (ITE, initial certification & CertLink), and how AI can play a role in Continuing Certification.
