Fun Fact Friday: Did you know?

On this day in 1925, the Grand Ole Opry aired its very first broadcast in Nashville, Tennessee! What started as a simple radio show became one of the most iconic music institutions in American history.

Imagine gathering around the radio with family, tuning the dial just right, and hearing those lively country tunes fill the room. For many, it was the soundtrack of Saturday nights and family memories.

It’s amazing how much entertainment has changed—from radio shows to televisions to today’s streaming world—yet the joy of music remains the same.

What’s a music memory you’ll never forget?
A favorite song? A concert? A tune that instantly takes you back?

Apple Pie Day at Our Community! 🥧🍎

Today our residents filled the community with the sweet smell of fresh-baked apple pie! What made it extra special were the wonderful conversations that came with it — everyone sharing how they make their pie a little differently. From flaky crusts to crumb toppings, cinnamon-heavy spice blends to secret family ingredients, every story was as delightful as the baking itself.

While one group rolled dough and mixed apples, another group enjoyed watching the process and comparing all the unique baking styles. No matter how they participated, every resident had the chance to experience the Rhythm of the Day program in a way that felt comfortable and meaningful for them — whether hands-on in the kitchen or relaxing with a baking video when the hustle of cooking felt like too much.

It was a beautiful reminder that there’s no single “right” way to make a pie… and no single “right” way to take part in the day. ❤️

✨ Thank you to our incredible First Responders! ✨
We had an amazing time celebrating our local Police Department, and Fire Department and EMS at our community’s First Responders Appreciation Event this passed week. Your courage, dedication, and service mean the world to us!

A special thank-you to Donut NV for coming out and serving delicious treats, and to our wonderful event sponsors—Pathway Hospice, Expedient Home Health, and Wound Management Specialist—for helping make this event possible.

We are so grateful for all you do!

There’s nothing like a little creativity to brighten up the day! 🎨✨
Our residents spent a lovely afternoon last week painting colorful suncatchers, filling the room with laughter, conversation, and a whole lot of artistic flair. Each suncatcher was as unique and beautiful as the person who made it — sparkling reminders that joy and imagination shine at any age.
We’re so proud of our talented residents and grateful for moments like these that bring our community together. 💕

One of the things we love most about our Rhythm of the Day program is how flexible it is! It allows us to adjust activities based on the weather and how our residents are feeling that day — ensuring everyone stays engaged, comfortable, and active in a way that works best for them. 💛

Last week, we enjoyed two great sessions: one day we took our scarf dancing outside to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine, and another day we brought the fun indoors with chair exercises when the weather turned cooler. Either way, we’re moving, smiling, and staying strong together! 💪🎶

Honoring Our Heroes
On November 11th, we gathered together to honor the brave men and women who have served our country—and the devoted spouses who supported them through it all. ❤️

Our residents, families, and team shared heartfelt gratitude for the sacrifices made in service to our nation. It was a day filled with pride, reflection, and community spirit.

To all our veterans and their loved ones: thank you for your courage, dedication, and love of country. We are forever grateful. 🇺🇸💙
