Did y’all miss us?? 👀💛
Pull up a chair… it’s story time 📖✨
I’d like to start by saying that The Bump Birthing Center was my most prized possession. The literal blood, sweat, and tears poured into the six months it took to get her up and running were nothing short of a true labor of love 🤍.
Over seven years, we helped welcome hundreds of beautiful, healthy babies into the world. We walked families through loss, prayed over complicated pregnancies, celebrated the raw strength of women becoming warriors, and snuggled freshly squeezed life ✨. These families became our family.
In 2024, things began to shift. What was once a very profitable practice slowly became harder and harder to keep afloat. I ignored the signs. I kept pushing, hoping things would turn around. I prayed—on my knees—for God to show me what to do. I couldn’t let her go. I loved her. Everyone loved her. But something had to give.
In June 2025, God answered my prayers. He gave me clear direction—and a deadline. Wanting so desperately to provide for my family the way I had before, I listened. I made the decision to close the birth center in July 2025. I was bitter. Heartbroken. I felt like a complete failure 💔. Everything I had poured into that little building on Liberty Grove… for what? Just to let it all go?
But over the last six months, I’ve continued to serve families. I’ve heard countless stories about how the birth center changed lives—and I finally realized something important: it wasn’t the building. It was the love and care provided by the midwives inside of it 🤍.
I’ve found peace in knowing that the location doesn’t matter. If the Lord wants me to continue transforming families as a midwife, then that’s exactly what I’ll do. My house, your house, a friend’s birth center—sounds good to me 🏡✨.
I wanted to share this story for two reasons:
1️⃣ I stepped away from social media and missed announcing so many miraculous deliveries—so brace yourselves, they’re coming your way 👶🎉
2️⃣ I promise to bring the same warmth, joy, and love that lived inside that little old building to every family I serve, no matter where we are—because I truly love every single day of this midwife life 💕✨
