Shortly after noon Rockwell Community Fire Department was dispatched to 150th Street for a single structure fire. On arrival two structures were on fire with a third igniting shortly after.
Big THANK YOU to Dougherty Volunteer Fire Department, Marble Rock Fire Department, Sheffield Fire Department, Swaledale Fire Department, Rockwell IA Police Department , and Cerro Gordo County Sheriff for all your assistance on scene! We could not have done it without you!

Rockwell Fire responded with 14 firefighter and 5 apparatus. Three structures were a total loss. Most important no injuries reported on scene!

๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿšจ Highway 65 details south of Rockwell, North of Sheffield. ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿšจ

- Today - the bridge on Highway 65 and 120th street is shut down. Take detours as posted. The bridge should be opened again later today around 4pm.

- Thursday April 23rd. The bridge again will be shut down. Again, take detours as posted. The bridge should open again later Thursday evening.

The official tentative date for official shut down of Highway 65 and 120th is set for May 11th but that date could change weather pending.

Last night we got our CPR/AED certification and Stop the Bleed training. All 20 of us are certified in CPR/AED and trained in Stop the Bleed.

We bring an AED and Stop the Bleed kits with us to every call. Always wanting to be prepared for any situation.

This morning, the Rockwell Fire Department responded to assist the Dougherty Fire Department with a shed on fire in town. The building was controlled and did not spread to surrounding structures. The structure and contents were a total loss. Other agencies on scene were the Dougherty Fire Department, Greene Fire Department, Sheffield Fire Department, Marble Rock Fire Department, Rockford Fire Department, Rockwell Police Department, and Cerro Gordo County Sheriff's Department.

Over the last couple months we have been working on a small remodel. This remodel included new lockers, flooring, appliances, tv's, lighting and storage.

We added a new TV that shows our Active 911 responses and mapping for calls.
New lockers that provide a larger and more practical area to store our turnout gear and radios. And of course Pro Shield Epoxy knocked the floors out of the park.
