Interested in learning more about beyond-use dating and compounded non-sterile preparations?
Celeste Zizzamia, PharmD, BCSCP will present BUDs and CNSPs at the 11th Annual C***ecticut Compounding Conference.

Celeste joined the PCCA Clinical Services team as a Clinical Compounding Pharmacist in September 2023. A 2004 graduate of Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Celeste began her career in community pharmacy before transitioning to C***ecticut Children’s Medical Center in 2008. She became the assistant pharmacy manager, overseeing pharmacy operations and implementing standards for sterile and hazardous drug compounding. In 2018, Celeste pursued a new role as the compounding specialist. She participated in two pharmacy renovations including design, workflow, staff training and implementation for regulatory compliance in the medical center’s sterile and nonsterile compounding areas. In 2021, Celeste became board-certified in sterile compounded preparations. She has also worked extensively with oncology nurses to ensure safety in using chemotherapy, as well as patient administration of hazardous drugs.
