It is a privilege to announce Shekethia “Kee Kee” Bullard won the SanStone President’s Award in recognition of her exceptional compassion, dedication, and embodiment of SanStone’s mission and values. Kee Kee is not only an outstanding caregiver, but a true reflection of the heart of long-term care.
Inspired at a young age by her grandmother’s work with elderly patients, Kee Kee discovered her calling early in life. After becoming a CNA in 1994 and later earning her CMA, she found her true passion at the bedside, where she excels in one-on-one resident care. Kee Kee forms deep, meaningful connections by learning each resident’s routines, preferences, and stories, ensuring they feel valued, respected, and at home.
Known by colleagues as compassionate, loyal, and dependable, Kee Kee consistently goes above and beyond. She volunteers for extra shifts, supports coworkers without hesitation, and maintains lasting relationships with residents and their families even after discharge. Her commitment often extends beyond the facility, including home visits and emotional support during times of loss. She regularly comes in on her days off to attend resident rehabilitation graduations, celebrating milestones simply because she cares.
Even while experiencing profound personal loss, Kee Kee’s dedication never wavered. Her strength, resilience, and selflessness during this time exemplify her unwavering commitment to others.
Kee Kee does not simply do her job — she lives her calling. Her decades of service, genuine compassion, and selfless devotion make her a cornerstone of our organization and a most deserving recipient of the SanStone President’s Award.
