Rebecca Austin from the Blue Ridge Institute, came to the Franklin County Library to teach some of our genealogy group members and members of the community 18th Century Stitching, what a wonderful thing to learn in this cold weather, especially if we get more snow.

Guess what! Our Mann Room also has two new RARE book cases that will soon be filled up with the rare books. If you happened to miss our Rare Book Viewing at the beginning of the January, you’ll be able to see the books from these awesome cabinets!

It’s looking a little different around the Mann Room today…

We not only have a new brochure rack, but our old information rack has moved outside of the door, now you can grab family tree charts, county maps, Virginia 250 info and get the paperwork to request birth/marriage and death certificates.
