🦵 September is Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) Awareness Month. PAD develops when the arteries, that supply blood to the internal organs, arms, and legs, become completely or partially blocked.
🔹 8.5 million people in the U.S. are living with PAD.
🔹 Up to 25% of patients with critical PAD may face amputation if left untreated.
🔹 PAD is often silent—but it’s serious.
Know the signs:
✅ Leg pain or cramping when walking
✅ Numbness, weakness, or coldness in the legs/feet
✅ Non-healing wounds on toes, feet, or legs
