Our amazing Cardiopulmonary Rehab team showed off their holiday spirit with a Gingerbread Decorating Contest, and the results are too good not to share!

Coastal Plain Hospital is in need of items for their Patient Supply Closet for patients completing psychiatric and substance-use treatment. Patients earn tokens during their stay and redeem them at discharge for essentials and fun items.

We accept all brands and versions—every donation helps someone leave treatment feeling supported and prepared. We do ask these be new and unused items.

Current needs include:
-Hand Warmers
-Toboggans & Gloves
-Blankets
-Sweatshirts & Sweatpants
-Long Sleeve and Short Sleeve T-shirts
-Sanitizing Wipes
-Body Wash
-Deodorant
-Body Spray
-Toothpaste

Through this collaboration, patients in our Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Program will receive vouchers to shop at Ripe for Revival’s Mobile Market, bringing fresh, local produce and nutritious options right to our community.

Ripe for Revival is on a mission to revive communities through agriculture, access, and opportunity, making healthy food more accessible for everyone.

Together, we’re helping patients take steps toward better health and wellness—one meal at a time.

The UNC Health Nash Foundation is curating an exclusive “Best of Nash” Silent Auction. The goal is to highlight local coffee shops, restaurants, salons, boutiques, hotels, and more. and allow the winner of the auction package to determine the "Best of Nash"

As we close out this year’s Lights of Love campaign, we want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who participated. Your generosity and spirit truly lit up our community!

This year we honored 288 individuals and raised a total of $19,379 to support our Patient Assistance Program which provides essential medication, transportation, medical equipment, and more so that neighbors in need can access care without delay.

We are currently halfway through our Employee Giving Campaign for 2026, which supports the UNC Health Nash Foundation and United Way Tar River Region. This campaign allows staff members to financially give back to their community and support various funds through the Foundation. 100% of all pledges goes directly back to impact our patients. United Way is able to spread their donations across various community partners who help with health, education, and income & independence.

This year's theme is "Super Mario" and oh man has it been a SUPER campaign so far! Today we set up in the cafeteria to recruit pledges.

Due to rain, we are moving our Tree Lighting Ceremony to the Heart Center Main Lobby. Please plan to join us tomorrow at 5:30pm as we celebrate and honor loved ones.
