Hello Everyone! Our February meeting is on the 22nd at 7pm at Arlington Baptist Church. It is important that all Debu-ettes turn in their raffle ticket money at the beginning of this meeting. Can't stress that enough!! The drawing will begin at 7:30 and we need to be able to account for all tickets sold. If you will not be able to attend this meeting, please contact your advisor to discuss meeting soon to turn in these items. As of today, do not mail tickets and funds raised to Pam Larimer, as they may not be delivered in time. Also! Sophomore and Junior Debu-ettes, your project due for this meeting is Back Pack Buddies. Please check with your advisor for the list of requested food items so that you will be prepared to turn in 2 full grocery bags on Monday night! Backpack Buddies is a program supported by local churches that provides backpacks full of food to local children that come from food insecure homes. The food brought in Monday night will be delivered to the churches by Tuesday and the churches will load the backpacks and deliver them to the schools by Thursday. See you Monday night!

Due to cancellation of class for Nash Rocky Mount schools today, the Debu-ette meeting is also cancelled. Please contact your advisor about submitting raffle ticket money as soon as possible. Stay safe, please work on completing your "on your own" hours and we will see you at the February meeting!

Happy New Year Everyone! The next Debs meeting is Monday, January 25th at 7pm and raffle ticket money is due! All of the Debu-ettes are selling raffle tickets this month to raise money for local charities, so please buy tickets and help their efforts! Also, the Winter Dance is scheduled for January 30th. Everyone should have received their invitation to the Dance in the mail, but if you did not, please let us know! We want everyone there! As well, for those who are bringing a date, please be sure to have your date bring the signed es**rt pledge to turn in at the door. The pledge was included with the invitation, but I have attached a copy if needed. We look forward to a great evening!

Congratulations to Junior Debu-ette Suzanna Mosley, who recently earned the Girl Scout Gold Award!

The Girl Scout Gold Award represents the highest achievement in Girl Scouting. Open only to girls in high school, this prestigious award challenges you to change the world!

To earn this award, Suzanna had to Identify an issue in the community, investigate it thoroughly, form a team to support her efforts and help her take action, identify the root cause of the issue, create a plan to tackle it, present her plan and gather feedback, submit the Project Proposal Form to her Girl Scout council for approval and finally, take action, educate and inspire.

Suzanna is a senior level scout and has fulfilled all the requirements for the Gold Award, including journey books. She was approved by the Gold Award Committee in Raleigh on November 12th, for an award only 5.4% of eligible Girl Scouts successfully earn.

What an amazing accomplishment! We are all incredibly proud of you!

We had an amazing meeting Monday night! The Freshman and Senior Debs filled one corner of the meeting room with stockings for the Salvation Army, while the Sophomore and Juniors Debs filled another with gifts for the children and parents that will attend the Arlington Baptist Church Toy Store! Thank you Robin Miller for delivering the stockings, Thank you Senior Debu-ette Cassidy Coates for leading the Toy Store project this year, and Thank you Emily Bondy for leading the girls and advisers in a lesson in exercising and managing stress with yoga. Please remember that the Debu-ettes will be selling raffle tickets throughout December and January. The money raised from this event funds the $1,000.00 donation each grade gives to their chosen charity at the Presentation Ceremony on April 16th, at Benvenue Country Club. So be sure to buy a ticket for your chance to win a great prize and help support Local Charities at the same time! Have a great Thanksgiving, everyone!
