Some nights (seasons) feel longer than others. Grief can linger. Joy can feel distant, almost out of reach, especially during the holidays, when memories surface and absence is felt more deeply.

This verse does not rush sorrow or pretend the night isn’t real. It acknowledges the weeping. But it also anchors us to a promise: the night does not have the final word. God has spoken, and morning is coming.

Until that morning fully arrives, we wait. We remember. We trust the promises of God even when we cannot yet see their fulfillment. And we hold fast to hope, confident that joy will come in its time.

“Weeping may stay overnight, but there is joy in the morning.”

-Psalm 30:5 (CSB)

It’s okay to still be in the night, God is still at work. Joy is coming.

Christmas can bring warmth and joy, but it can also stir grief, silence, and longing for what once was.

God’s promise is sure. A day is coming when tears will be wiped away, grief will be no more, and death will lose its hold once and for all. Until that day, we remember, we grieve, and we hold fast to the hope God has spoken.

God sees your tears.
God will enter your pain.
God will one day remove both.

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; grief, crying, and pain will be no more, because the previous things have passed away.”

-Revelation 21:4 (CSB)

Christmas can be a tender season, especially when we are missing someone we love.

Today, we are reminded of this unshakable truth:
Nothing, not even death, can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus.
Love remains. Hope endures.

As Christmas Eve approaches, we invite you to join us for our annual Create a Tradition With Us This Christmas gathering, a time to remember loved ones, reflect together, and hold fast to the hope we have in Him.

“For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
— Romans 8:38–39 (CSB)
