We had so much fun with this new toy during our speech sessions yesterday. My 2 year old & 7 year old clients both loved it. It can be used to target colors & shapes, requesting things like more, help & key, concepts like in, on, up, next to, stop, go & turn, labeling animals & animal sounds, predicting what will be inside each barn, turn taking, counting & describing each animal! So many opportunities to target skills and the kids feel like they’re just playing with a choo choo train 🚂 The animals can also be used as finger puppets for pretend play too! I attached the link for any SLP, teacher, or parent who wants to try it out. I highly recommend! Therapy should be fun! We are happy to share that Miss Dani welcomed her little bundle of joy into this world on 1-17-25. Dominick Vincent Lorandini. Miss Brianna will continue to see clients during her maternity leave. Brianna earned her Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Buffalo & also works at William Floyd School District servicing students in Kindergarten-5th grade. This is a list of the only words this cutie was able to say when she started working with me at 2 years old: baby, booboo, bubbles, bee, beach, bug, dada, deda, dog, meow, me, mama, no, neigh, star, up, out, ow, on.

By 3, her language skills grew tremendously & she presented as a preschooler with significant articulation & phonology delays. We targeted all of the following: final consonant deletion, p, t, n, k, g, f, v, l, s, z, r & th sounds, phonological awareness skill & grammar skills. The video is from today, when she was dismissed from speech 👏🏼 She is now able to communicate clearly & effectively & she’s reading above grade level. It took us a few years of hard work but so worth it!! So proud of her !!!

🌟Update🌟 We are now in-network with Northwell Direct insurance. Give us a call if any of the following are true: it’s difficult for your child to produce certain sounds, it’s difficult for your child to be understood by others, it’s difficult for your child to communicate his/her wants/needs clearly and smoothly, your child is not yet producing any single words by the age of 1, your child is not yet producing about 50 words by 1 1/2 years, your child is not yet using about 100 words & combining 2 word phrases by 2 years, your child has a difficult time following directions, or your child is a very picky eater!
