No matter whatโs going on, yoga helps me reset my nervous systemโtaking me out of that busy mode, slowing down, and finding calmness.Sure, thoughts may come and go, and each time I come to this practice, it can look different.Sometimes itโs movement, sometimes just breathwork, sometimes full-on relaxation for an hour. Sometimes itโs all of that. Sometimes, โyogaโ even happens off the mat in real life.Itโs about taking time to slow down a little and fill up your self-care cup. Do it for you and make it non-negotiable. You deserve it. ๐ฉท#YogaForTheNervousSystem #MindfulMovement #YogaEveryDay #SelfCareRoutine #NervousSystemReset #YogaForCalm #SlowDownAndBreathe #BreathworkPractice #RelaxAndRecharge #InnerPeace #YogaOffTheMat #FindYourCalm #FillYourCup #NonNegotiableSelfCare #YouDeserveIt #WellnessJourney #PrioritizeYourself #SelfCareMatters
Iโve learned in life that when you really want something and itโs important to you that youโll do anything to try and make it work!
You have to show up, stay consistent, work at it every single day!
Do it for you! Donโt give up before it gets good! Things take time and effort ๐ฉท
I donโt know about you, but I tend to hold a lot of tension and stress in my shoulders and upper back.
For me, taking time to do yoga always helps release some of that stress and tension.
These poses, especially the seated movements for the spine, always help open up my back and shoulders while giving them a good stretch. I always feel a million times better afterward!
For the last pose, if you donโt have blocks, you can use books or fold up some blanketsโone under your head and one between your shoulder blades.
When youโre passionate about something, youโll feel it. It just feels right!
Youโll put your heart, soul, and mind into it. Youโll keep showing up every day, even on the hard days, because you just never know whoโs watching or who may need you that day!
You wonโt let rejection or the naysayers bring you down or make you want to give up.
You can achieve anything in life as long as you show up, stay consistent, and never give up!
Youโve got this! Keep moving forward and always remember your why!
It is most certainly never too late to reinvent yourself!
You are never too old to start something new or to start over if you need to.
You donโt need permission from anyone elseโonly from yourself.
Lastly, donโt worry about what others will think when you begin something new. Who cares? Itโs your life, not theirs.
Donโt let fear stop you. Things are always a little scary at first, but fear holds us back and makes us miss out on lifeโs opportunities.
Just take the first step and figure out the rest later. Donโt stay stuck! Go for itโyou deserve it!
Welcome, November!
I still love how itโs fall, and there is so much beauty around us!
This is such a cozy time of year and a wonderful opportunity for introspection as we move toward the end of another year. But itโs not over yetโthereโs still so much happening. ๐งก
This is also a time for giving thanks. When we express gratitude, it can transform what we have into even more. Gratitude keeps us in our hearts, in the present moment, and fosters a more positive mindset.
Enjoy the season while itโs here. Thereโs no need to rush into the next one. Be present. Be thankful. Always be grateful. ๐งก
I absolutely love autumn and have enjoyed this season sooo much!
The trees have beautifully changed so much this year! I have had a ton of fall outings and fun!
However for me today is my most favorite day of the season and really the whole year ๐ป๐งก
Happy Halloween and Samhain blessings to those who celebrate ๐งก I hope you have fun and get lots of treats!
Shoulders and upper back feel tight?
Try either one or both of these stretches.
You can always pad up the knees too if they feel sensitive. Or even sit on the floor or in a chair and use the desk or a top of a chair to rest your hands on.
Itโs a great way to stretch out the arms, shoulders and upper back and undo any tightnesses held there.
Try it out and let me know how you feel!
Itโs so important and beneficial for our nervous system to take a few minutes before bed and just be still.
Come to a seat whether itโs in a chair, on the floor, or in bed and take some slow, steady deep breaths in and out.
You can also place one hand on your heart and the other on your belly, and do a few rounds of deeper breathing. Try counting two breaths: inhale into the belly, then the chest; exhale from the chest, then the belly.
This practice is especially helpful after a busy day. Instead of just plopping down into bed, we need time to decompress and calm the mind before sleep.
โAre your upper back and shoulders in knots? If so, you can release some of that tension by doing just a few minutes of this yoga stretch on each side.
Modifications: Sink your hips back more, place a block under your head, or avoid reaching the top arm too far forward.
Always do what feels good for your body! Make sure to take some time for yourself todayโself-care is self-love.โ

Doing this wide legged toward fold has lots of benefits.
It will stretch out the hamstrings, lower back and neck as well.
Since itโs an inversion it can bring calmness to the mind as well as the nervous system.
I like the support of the wall because it can allow you to stay a little longer in the stretch. You can also use blocks or books under the hands if your hands donโt reach the ground. Also finding a slight bend to the knees if you feel too much pressure or pull in the low back can help.
If you tend to have low blood pressure take you time slowly coming out or donโt stay as long.

A simple way to end your day:
Lie down and let your head hang off the edge of the bed. Take some deep breaths in and out, and stay here for a few minutes.
This is a great way to reverse the strain on your neck from looking at your phone or computer screen all day. Itโs also a great stress reliever for the mind, helping to bring calmness and relaxation.
Contradictions: if you have any kind of neck injuries, heart issues I would avoid doing this. If you have blood pressure issues just be mindfully slow coming out of the position.
