Anyone else sit or lie like this or is it just me?

Can I touch my toes in this pose? Yes but not all the time and that’s ok. My hamstrings have been super tight because for the last week or so I’ve had to limit my movements due to a procedure I had to have. So instead of forcing myself more forward which I’m sure I could have but why do that? There’s no need to hurt myself trying to look a certain way. I’m still getting a good stretch here in my legs and back. Again always honor your body where it’s at in the moment. 🩷🩷

Goddess pose (reclined butterfly) is one of my favorite restorative poses.
I wanted to show you how you can do this at home using things around the house — you don’t need fancy yoga props.
Restorative yoga is so good for the nervous system and can help you relax and hit the reset button.

Have you noticed how things have started to slowly bloom in the last few days? I love how spring takes its time, allowing things to slowly grow there’s a sense of no rush.

What if we could apply that same sense of not rushing so much towards ourselves?

That’s what I love about yoga. It gives us space and time to slow down just enough to connect to our breath, our bodies, and quiet our thoughts for a bit and calm the nerves down too.

I’ll be offering plenty of classes this week to help you slow down a bit and trust me, your body and mind will thank you later!

I call this the hug stretch. It can be very soothing and calming for the body and mind. I do this with my chair yoga students and they always love it especially when I say imagine your giving yourself a big hug. šŸ¤—

The practice of gratitude is really powerful. I try to be grateful every day for something. Today I’m grateful for this local coffee shop, yummy cappuccino and the very kind owner having a space for me to warm up and charge things. I have been without power for 24 hours now. Sure it’s a bummer but not much I can do so trying to make the best of it.

April is one of my favorite months!
I love seeing the plants start to bloom, the thunderstorms and rain, and so much more light.

Plus it’s my husband’s and my birthday this month too šŸŽ‰

A cross-lateral hip stretch can effectively target the glutes, IT band, and deep hip rotators to alleviate tightness and lower back pain

Daily cross‑lateral movements in general are very beneficial:

✨Integrate both brain hemispheres for better coordination and balance
✨Improve core stability and posture duringrotation or single‑leg work
✨Enhance proprioception knowing where your body is in space
✨Build functional strength and mobility in spine,hips, and shoulders
✨Support breath–movement coordination and mindful focus
