Ohio Action Coalition

Ohio Action Coalition The Ohio League for Nursing is the fiduciary agent for the OAC.

The OAC is the organization in Ohio committed to ensuring that Ohioans have access to high quality patient centered care in a healthcare system where nurses contribute as essential partners in achieving success. OAC’s membership is composed of organizations and individuals collaboratively working together to implement the IOM recommendations in Ohio through shared decision-making and action while

maintaining the autonomy of each organization. The OAC is a built upon a strong history of nursing organizations and others working together to enhancing the profession of nursing in Ohio for the benefit patients. Members are organized to accomplish the work of the Coalition as follows:

OAC Co-Leads – consists of one nurse and one non-nurse (nurse supporter)

Steering Committee – consists of two representatives from each of various organizations representing education, practice, regulatory agencies, and others

OAC Work Groups
The OAC establishes Work Groups, each focusing on a specific aspect of a CFA recommendation. Each workgroup is guided by Co-Chairs and is responsible for developing an overall set of goals, strategies, and outcomes by creating actions steps to meet the recommendation deliverables. Work Group Members: Initially appointed by the OAC Steering Committee and thereafter by Work Group Co-Chairs, members are individuals representing diverse populations and geographic areas of Ohio and include representatives of both nursing education and nursing practice, as well as nurse supporters.
