Welcome our newest intern Brooklyn Suber B.S., CT!
Brooklyn is a compassionate clinician-in-training currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at John Carroll University. She earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology and is completing her clinical practicum and internship with a counselor trainee designation from the Ohio Counselor, Social Work, and Marriage and Family Therapy Board. Brooklyn is supervised by Anjelica M. Nelson M.Ed LPCC-S IMFT-S.
Originally from Youngstown, Ohio, Brooklyn brings an INFJ-informed, reflective approach to her work. She values creating a therapeutic environment where clients feel seen, heard, and supported. She has experience working with children and adolescents in both behavioral health and educational settings.
Brooklyn’s background includes roles as a Registered Behavior Technician and as a teacher counselor. In these positions, she supported emotional regulation, coping skills, and positive behavior change, while helping students develop healthier ways to express and manage emotions.
Brooklyn is interested in supporting children and adolescents with anxiety, behavioral challenges, and social-emotional skill development. She is especially passionate about helping clients build self-esteem, resilience, and healthy coping strategies. Her therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based, with an emphasis on emotional safety and meaningful connection.
Brooklyn works with children, adolescents, and young adults. Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys spending time with loved ones, traveling, and staying grounded through music.
