🌹 Rosacea Checklist:
What You Should Consider…
Rosacea can be tricky—it flares easily, looks different and is diagnosed different for everyone. It also may require a gentle, targeted approach.
Here’s a go-to checklist to help guide your treatment plan and some added client education:
✅ Confirm the Rosacea Type with Dermatologist
• Erythemato-telangiectatic/“Telangiecstatia” (redness & visible vessels)
• Papulopustular (acne-like breakouts)
• Phymatous (thickened skin, especially around the nose)
• Ocular (red, irritated eyes)
✅ Schedule your thorough Skincare Consultation with a Thorough Skin Analysis
• We will identify inflammation, dehydration, and barrier compromise
• We will document any sensitivity to touch or products
✅ Keep It Gentle
• Use fragrance-free, non-irritating products
• Avoid physical exfoliation or aggressive modalities
• Choose lukewarm water—never hot
✅ Support the Skin Barrier
• Prioritize barrier-repairing ingredients
• Look for anti-inflammatory and calming formulas
• Hydrate consistently with lightweight humectants
✅ Avoid Triggers- I help clients identify and avoid common flare ups:
• Spicy food, alcohol, heat, sun exposure, stress
• Harsh skincare ingredients (alcohol, menthol, eucalyptus, strong acids)
✅ Incorporate Modalities Wisely
• LED light therapy (red/near-infrared) can help reduce inflammation
* Now offered in the Spa & partnered with FDA Cleared Company
• Cryotherapy or cool globes may calm flare-ups
✅ Communicate -When Unsure and Needed
My saying is “When in Doubt, Reach Out”
