There will always be "the next deadly drug" as reported in this article about the emergence of analogues as or more potent than deadly Fentanyl. Knowledge is power. It takes all of us to speak up to save lives, but it is also critical to lower demand by helping others address the root issues. THIS. As any parent of a child on the addiction journey knows....this is a TOUGH place to be. Loving your child through the fire. Doing the hard things. Not giving up but not leaving them. Setting firm but loving boundaries 💜💜💜

Feel what you feel about Charlie Sheen, but what you can’t deny about the Netflix documentary is that it shows the depth of a parent’s love.

Because Martin Sheen didn’t walk away from Charlie.
He showed up—again and again—through the chaos and the darkness.
He did the hardest things love requires, even when it meant turning his own son in.
He never stopped trying.
He never stopped believing.

And isn’t that the heart of parenting? We keep showing up. Even when it’s messy. Even when it’s painful. Even when our kids push us away.

We do the hard things.
We hold hope when they can’t.
We love them through the fire.

Because being a parent means never giving up on your child. No matter how heavy it gets, no matter how long the road is.

That’s the kind of love that changes everything.
