We know many of you are navigating recent changes with us, and we want to take a moment to offer reassurance, connection, and a warm reintroduction đź’›

While we recently shared the news of Phebe’s departure, we are so grateful to have Chantel continuing to lead and support care here at Eden as our supervising midwife.

Chantel has been walking alongside birthing families for nearly three decades, as a doula, perinatal nurse, and now as a Certified Nurse Midwife. Her heart has always centered on one goal, a healthy mom and a healthy baby. Just as importantly, she is deeply committed to creating a space where every client feels heard, supported, and empowered to make the choices that are right for their unique family.

Since joining Eden in April 2025, Chantel has been a steady, compassionate presence. She is passionate about healthcare autonomy and believes deeply in helping families lead their own care with confidence and support.

Her journey in healthcare is rich and diverse, earning her ADN in 2010 and BSN in 2014, followed by twelve years as a bedside nurse in both pediatric and perinatal settings. After transitioning from bedside care in 2022, she continued supporting families as a birth center nurse and PRN opioid treatment nurse. She completed her midwifery education through Frontier University, graduating in October 2024 with experience in both hospital and homebirth settings.

Outside of her professional life, Chantel is a wife of 34 years, a mom to four, and a proud grandma of two. She has called several states home before planting roots here in Arkansas, and she finds joy in crafting, gardening, crocheting, and spending time outdoors and with her church family.

We are so honored to have Chantel as part of Eden and even more grateful for the calm, experienced, and deeply compassionate care she brings to our community.

Have you started noticing your baby’s movement patterns yet? 🤍

We love sharing tools that are simple, empowering, and evidence based—and Count the Kicks is one we often point families toward for additional education.

Becoming familiar with your baby’s movement patterns in the third trimester can help you feel more connected and aware of what’s typical for your baby. Research has shown that changes in movement can sometimes be one of the first signs that something may need attention, which is why awareness matters.

Public health programs like Count the Kicks have also been associated with improved outcomes, including reductions in stillbirth rates, by helping families better understand and respond to changes in movement.

Here’s why many families find this helpful:
✨ Encourages awareness of your baby’s unique patterns
✨ Supports confidence in recognizing changes
✨ Provides a simple way to stay connected during pregnancy
✨ Offers helpful education backed by research

This resource is meant to support awareness and education—not to replace medical care. If you ever have questions or concerns about your baby’s movement, reaching out to your provider is always the best next step.

If you’re one of our families and want to talk more about this, we’re always here for you 🤍

Save this for later + share with a mama who may find it helpful.

We have a bittersweet announcement to share, one that holds both sadness and excitement. Phebe has decided to leave Eden Birth and Wellness as she steps into her next chapter.

As Phebe begins this transition, we want to pause and honor her with deep gratitude and warmth. Over the past five years, she has poured her heart into building something truly special, creating not just a practice, but a trusted home for families across Northwest Arkansas. Through her vision and dedication, Eden became the region’s premier CNM homebirth practice, walking alongside countless women and families during some of life’s most meaningful and transformative moments. Her impact is woven into every birth story, every family supported, and every life welcomed into this community. While it is bittersweet to see her go, we are so thankful for all she has given and wish her nothing but fulfillment and joy in what comes next.

At Eden, we remain grounded in the values Phebe helped cultivate, compassion, transparency, and a commitment to excellent, evidence-based care. In a time when access to obstetric services is becoming more limited in many areas, we feel an even deeper responsibility to be here for our community, providing safe, supportive, and empowering care for families.

As we move forward, Eden will continue as a CNM-led practice. To better serve the growing needs of birthing families in Northwest Arkansas, we are also expanding our model to include CPM care. Your care will be overseen by Chantel Haynes, APRN-CNM, who has been a valued part of Eden over the past year and has been attending home births since 2024. Chantel will work closely with Eden’s CPMs to ensure that every family receives thoughtful, collaborative care that upholds the high standards you expect from the CNM model.

We are honored to continue this work, supporting families, welcoming babies, and holding space for the profound journey of birth. Thank you for trusting us to be part of your story and for allowing Eden to remain a place of care, connection, and community.

If Phebe has been part of your story, we invite you to share a memory, a message, or a bit of your journey in the comments below. Your words will mean so much as we celebrate her and all she has poured into this community 🤍

Did you know?????????

Eden holds frequent trainings throughout the year to allow our staff the opportunity to grow as a team and expand our knowledge on all things birth!

Trainings range from emergency drills, guest speakers and hands on certification for new skills. 🤩

This month, we were blessed to welcome Dr. Ben Charlton! Dr. Charlton is a chiropractor specializing in Applied Kinesiology and functional medicine. Our team had the opportunity to watch demonstrations as well as learn more information as how to best serve our families. Dr. Charlton is a wonderful resource for our mamas as they strive to restore balance before, during and after pregnancy. He also provides care to our littlest patients to help with restoring balance after birth.

Our amazing Eden midwife team is growing!

Please help us welcome Marlita Camacho, CPM to the Eden family🎉💗🥳

Marlita's introduction to natural birth began with her own. She was born at home in Kansas and now calls Oklahoma her home. Her mother was a traditional midwife, and her grandmother was a registered nurse. Marlita is a mom of three amazing kids. She chose to have two of them at home, in 2000 and 2004. The third joined her family through adoption in 2011. She was thrilled to be the primary midwife for her first grandchild in 2023. Each of their stories shaped who she is as a mother and as a midwife.

Marlita started her career as a doula in 2000. In 2009 she began assisting midwives in home birth and birth center settings, and in 2020 she became a student midwife. In May of 2025, she earned her Certified Professional Midwife credential through the North American Registry of Midwives and became a Licensed Midwife with the state of Oklahoma shortly after. Her approach to care is simple. She believes families deserve to feel informed and respected throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. She blends traditional birth wisdom with modern, evidence-based techniques. She is honored to begin serving the women of Arkansas. When she isn't attending births, she finds joy listening to music, cooking, and loving on her family and 3 pets.

We are incredibly honored to welcome Kerian J. Trice-Parnell, BSN, RN, CLC, CBE to Eden.✨

Kerian brings years of experience in the birth world to our team. Her journey began as a birth and postpartum doula, where she supported families through pregnancy, birth, and newborn care. She later expanded her clinical expertise as a labor and delivery nurse and now also serves as an Evidence Based Birth® Childbirth Educator and certified lactation counselor.

As a nurse-midwifery student, Kerian continues to deepen her knowledge and commitment to holistic, evidence-based care. Her professional experience across multiple roles in the birth field gives her a unique and comprehensive perspective that truly benefits the families we serve.

A Little Rock native, she is deeply invested in improving maternal health outcomes in Arkansas — and we are so excited to have her expertise and heart at Eden.
