🌟 September Nurse of the Month: Kimberly King, RN 🌟

Kimberly says - I’ve known since I was a little girl that I was meant to be a nurse, my parents even used to call me “Nancy Nurse.” I’ve been a nurse for 23 years and have worked in a variety of settings, including med/surg, ICU, orthopedics, outpatient care, GI labs, and home health. I spent 13 of those years as an oncology infusion nurse, where I discovered I actually enjoyed starting IVs!

About three years ago, I began doing home infusions and truly found my passion. I love meeting new people and enjoy the entire experience of providing care to patients in the comfort of their own homes.

I currently live with my boyfriend and my mom. We share our home with our Great Dane, Opie, our Cane Corso, Nala, and my calico Manx cat, Nubzy. I’m also a proud grandmother with one granddaughter and three great-grandchildren.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing cards with friends, kayaking, fishing, hiking, singing karaoke, playing video games, and just relaxing at home with a good show.

Her patients speak volumes about her care:

🗣️ Kimberly King is my wonderful RN! I have been getting IVIG infusions for 12 years and have had a number of nurses through this journey. Kimberly is absolutely the best nurse i have had! Kimberly always follows my infusion protocol with exceptional knowledge, grueling15 minute vital sign checks, and monitoring me very closely. She advocates with my Pharmacy to ensure that I receive the best possible and accurate personal care. Kimberly has a wonderful personality and sooths me through the rough, emotional, and challenging times of my illness and infusion treatments. I am a hard stick after getting so many years of infusions every 28 days and 12 years of taking predisone. Kimberly is very talented at starting IV's, she is one stick and done! I am so fortunate to have Kimberly in my life.

🗣️ I happen to be an RN myself (20 years), and Kim King is hands down the best nurse I’ve ever known. Wealth of knowledge, and great patient advocate. She deserves all the awards!

Khadra, our wonderful Clinical Coordination Supervisor and her husband welcomed a precious baby boy on August 22nd!

Kollier Macy Hamm made his arrival August 22nd, weighing 9lbs. 9 oz. and measuring 21 inches long.

We are so thrilled for Khadra and her family as they begin this sweet new chapter! 💙
