Bee like the honeybee.

Bees live in social colonies and cannot survive in isolation. The hive exists because the bees are a connected community. The hive thrives because the bees work together for the good of the whole. At Bee Well Yoga we are like the hive. We are...

Community with our own body, mind and soul. Community with our neighbors. Community with the world. Compassion
Compass

ion for ourselves. Compassion for our community. Compassion for the world. Commitment

The Stages of Savasana

“I’m just going to relax”
“Wow this feels amazing”
“I might be asleep?”
Light snoring...maybe a snort.
Wake up during closing “Namaste”

We call this the savasana spiral. And a bonus nap. Come rest with us.

Happy Earth Day bees 🌿

Today we honor the ground beneath us, the same earth that holds us in every pose, every breath, every moment of stillness.

In yoga, we practice connection.
Connection to breath.
Connection to body.
Connection to our community.
Connection to something greater than ourselves.

And today… we remember that we are part of nature, not separate from it.

✨ Step outside and take a few deep breaths
✨ Practice barefoot and feel the earth beneath you
✨ Move slowly, intentionally, gratefully

Even a few mindful moments can bring you back into harmony. (photo of Ireland 2025 - can't wait to be back in October 2026!)

Connection isn’t built in big moments…it’s built in the small ones

The check-in text.
The undistracted conversation.
The simple act of being there.

This week is about presence.

Not perfection.
Not having the right words.
Just showing up.

Because sometimes the most powerful thing you can offer is your full attention.

✨ Who can you show up for today?
✨ Or where can you be more present?

Who are you grateful for right now?Comment & tag someone 💜

Gratitude changes everything

When we pause to truly appreciate the people in our lives, our relationships deepen, soften, and expand. It’s easy to assume people know how much they mean to us…but expressing it? That’s where the magic happens.

This week, let gratitude lead.

Maybe it’s a text or a call.
A hug.
A simple “thank you.”
A smile.

Small moments → deep connection 💛

My Ancestry DNA results came in.
Just as I suspected, my great great grandfather
was a monarch butterfly.
Much of who I am is still wriggling under a stone.
I am part larva, but part hummingbird too.
There is dinosaur tar in my bone marrow.
My golden hair sprang out of a meadow in Palestine.
Genghis Khan is my fourth cousin,
but I didn't get his dimples.
My loins are loaded with banyan seeds from Sri Lanka,
but I descended from Ravanna, not Ram.
My uncle is a mastodon.
There are traces of white people in my saliva.
3.7 billion years ago I swirled in golden dust,
dreaming of a planet overgrown with lingams and yonis.
More recently, say 60,000 B.C.
I walked on hairy paws across a land bridge
joining Sweden to Botswana.
I am the bastard of the sun and moon.
I can no longer hide my heritage of raindrops and cougar s**t.
I am made of your grandmother's tears.
You conquered rival tribesmen of your own color,
chained them together, marched them naked to the coast,
and sold them to colonials from Savannah.
I was that brother you sold, I was the slave trader,
I was the chain.
Admit it, you have wings, vast and golden,
like mine, like mine.
You have sweat, black and salty,
like mine, like mine.
You have secrets silently singing in your blood,
like mine, like mine.
Don't pretend that earth is not one family.
Don't pretend we never hung from the same branch.
Don't pretend we don't ripen on each other's breath.
Don't pretend we didn't come here to forgive.
