Last Friday, several members of the PEARL team had the opportunity to attend the Many Hands, One Mission Conference, hosted by the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation at the Heartland Whole Health Institute in Bentonville.
The event brought together diverse voices and perspectives from across our field; from treatment professionals and medical providers to peer specialists, recovery housing programs, drug courts, and community-based organizations.
Our Executive Director, Kyra Creger, was honored to participate both as a panelist and as a featured speaker. She shared how her personal lived experience intersects with her professional work in drug courts, recovery housing, and reducing stigma & how community collaboration can remove barriers and strengthen support for the people we serve.
Conferences like these matter because they bring together people with different backgrounds, beliefs, and approaches, all working toward the same mission: improving outcomes for individuals and families impacted by addiction. While we may not agree on every idea or modality, public forums like this give space for meaningful dialogue, shared learning, and stronger advocacy on behalf of our communities.
A fun highlight: Kyra won the final raffle of the day β a full three-part MORE Series workbook set (MORE: The Ongoing Journey in Recovery), complete with 30 participant workbooks and Serenity Coins. These will be a great addition to the offerings and support materials available at our Peer Recovery Center.
We are grateful for opportunities to learn, collaborate, and grow alongside others committed to healing and recovery in Arkansas. πβ¨
