In this 60-minute interactive workshop, participants will explore how Pilates can be used as a powerful tool to improve posture, enhance spinal mobility, and reduce back discomfort. With a focus on body alignment, core stability, and controlled movement, the session will combine education and guided practice to help attendees better understand their posture and how to support a healthier spine through Pilates.
Led by a certified Pilates instructor, the workshop will include:
Brief Introduction (10 min):
• Understanding posture: What is good posture and why does it matter?
• Common postural issues (e.g., forward head, rounded shoulders, swayback)
• The Pilates principles: Core engagement, alignment, breathing, control
Guided Movement Session (40 min): Focused on exercises that support:
• Spinal Mobility & Alignment
• Core Engagement & Postural Strength
• Shoulder and Upper Back Openness
Wrap-Up and Q&A (10 min):
• Recap of key movements and posture tips
• Daily posture habits & simple exercises to do at home or at work
• Open floor for questions and individualized modifications
Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of their own posture, practical Pilates exercises to improve alignment and spinal mobility, and strategies to integrate better posture into daily life.
