🎧 Podcast Recommendation for Our Parkinson’s Community! 🎧
As a speech-language pathologist, I’m always looking for resources that truly get it—the real-life challenges, emotions, and victories that come with Parkinson’s. One podcast I highly recommend is “The Secret Life of Parkinson’s.”
What makes this podcast especially powerful is that both hosts are living with Parkinson’s themselves. 💙 Their firsthand experiences bring so much authenticity, humor, honesty, and insight to every episode.
From a speech therapy perspective, I love how it highlights:
✔️ The importance of staying socially connected
✔️ How communication impacts identity and independence
✔️ The emotional side of voice and speech changes
✔️ Real stories that remind you that you’re not alone
They dive into topics like communication changes, confidence, relationships, self-advocacy, and daily life with PD in a way that feels relatable and empowering.
