Today we’re sharing about Infants! Some of our OTs have who specialized training, enjoy empowering caregivers, are well-experienced, and/or find joy learning about this area include: Cada, Savannah P, Jolina, Viri, Meghan, Jolina. Our OTs are passionate about assessing and treating infants to support their development on motor skills, sensory processing, feeding, sleeping, attachment, and bonding. Our team works closely with medical professionals including our partnership with our community NICU teams.

🎉🧡⭐️ 18 of our therapists— 11 PTs, 4 OTs, and 3 SLPs attended the DIR/Floortime 101 Course this past weekend in Little Rock! We are happy to share that we have 22 therapists who have taken the 101 course and some have taken the higher level courses. (Swipe left to see what happens when we ask Cambre to add herself to our group pic she was misssing from 🤣).

DIR/Floortime is a developmental framework that prioritizes the Developmental level, Individual differences, and the Relationship between the child and their caregivers. The DIR model focuses on building “circles of communication” and strengthening the bond between caregivers and their children to support their development.

Why we love it as therapists:
PTs: We see how emotional regulation drives motor planning and physical exploration.
OTs: We’re leaning into sensory processing through the lens of joy and engagement.
SLPs: We’re fostering communication that starts with shared affect and genuine connection.

Our goal is to move beyond compliance and toward empowerment. By coaching caregivers to meet their children where they are, we’re building a foundation for lifelong growth.

💜🔦 This month we are going to be spotlighting some areas of treatment that our Occupational Therapist team is passionate about.

Today we’re sharing about Sensory Integration! Some of our OTs have gotten specialized training, enjoy empowering caregivers, are well-experienced, and/or find joy learning about this area include: Whitney, Chris, Tyler, Meghan, Jolina, and Macie. Our OTs are passionate about assessing and treating patients through sensory integration making impacts on their processing and integration of their sensory systems to be ready to learn, play, relax, explore, and be their true selves. Did you know we have 8 sensory systems that include sight, sound, smell, taste, touch, vestibular, proprioceptive, and interoception.

Our OTs are passionate about assessing and treating patients with neurological conditions like stroke, cerebral palsy, and brain injuries making impacts through treatment on patient's cognition, motor, sensory, behavior, and adaptive skills.

🍿🎬 Join us for a fun and inclusive morning at the movies!

In celebration of Autism Awareness Month, POST Pediatric Therapies is partnering with Autism Involves Me to host a sensory-friendly screening of the highly anticipated The Super Mario Galaxy Movie

Date: April 25th
Time: 9:30 AM Showtime�Location: Malco Theatre at Pinnacle Hills 2100 S Bellview Rd, Rogers, AR 72758

This event is designed to provide a welcoming and comfortable environment for individuals with sensory differences. There will be lower light, lower sound, and children are welcome to move around during the movie. Free small popcorn and small drink is included with each ticket.

This is a free event but space is limited and registration is required. For more information on how to register, ask our front office receptionists.
