Freestyles and awards. Adeline won 4th place overall and Mateo won 11th overall. Adeline was a star with a 4th in Handling and Conditioning, a 7th in Trail, and a 4th in Freestyle. Mateo was a handful with that baby brain but we managed 13th in Handling and Conditioning, 13th in Trail ( he was a dragon, I can't believe he placed that high), and believe it or not 7th in the Freestyle!! Trust me, I had to work for it! Adam at his finest, volunteering, and Adeline's new family. We are so happy for her! 💚

Well, Mateo and his baby brain were full of it today. He started out decent but gradually turned into a handful. At least we didn't finish last. We got 13th in Handling and Conditioning and 13th in trail. Adeline on the other hand was a good girl and we finished 4th in Handling and Conditioning and 7th in trail. It also looks like she won't be coming home with us because she has a couple of adopters waiting in line. It's bittersweet, Adam and I will truly miss her. 😢

Mateo's glow up from the end of February till now. He has grown at least a hand taller! As of June 1st he is officially a yearling!!

Mateo is coming along nicely. He now wears a fly mask, starting on obstacles and picking up his feet. He got a bath today, not a fan of water, but loves being scrubbed. Got that thick mane braided, so hopefully we can keep it all on one side. He has grown so much since we brought him home. He will be available if you always wanted your own mustang, he will be something you can train your way. He turned one yr old June 1st, so you have a couple of years to work and bond with him before he will be ready to ride! He is from Antelope HMA in Nevada. 💚

We are happy to announce that Adam and I are now trainers through Forever Branded with their new program Branded Partnerships! This is the new program that has been started along with the BLM to give adopters a head start with training before taking home a wild one. Like as before, we give the animals the foundation of picking up 4 feet, leading, haltering, grooming, and loading in the trailer. When all the tasks are complete , then the animal is ready to adopt. The adopter still adopts for $125 to the BLM and we get paid by the non-profit Forever Branded. It is a win win for all! We are looking into July for our first pick up, so stay tuned for updates. We will be focused on b***os, but a horse or two may be picked up here and there. If you would like to fill out an application to be ahead of the game, go to blm.gov and look for the Online Corral. Make an account and fill out the application. You should receive an answer within 7 days. That application is good for a year. Like as in the past, animals will be first come first served, and if you are not approved when the animal is ready to leave, it goes to the next in line! Mateo took a little longer to decide to jump in. When he had to go to the vet, we had to push him to get in. This time we waited him out and let him think. By the 3rd time he jumped right in and we quit on a good note.
