With heavy hearts, we share the passing of one of our individuals.

Ray was more than someone we supported — he was part of our days, our routines, and our extended family. We are grateful for the time we had with Ray; and his absence will be felt deeply across our organization.

Raymond E. Light, of Rolla, MO, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2026 at the age of 72.
He was born on January 12, 1954 to the late Edward Eugene Light and Hazel Roselee (Huskey) Light. In addition to his parents, Raymond was also preceded in death by a brother, Michael Light; one niece, Cheryl Light; and three sisters-in-law, Yvonne Light, Betty Light, and Connie Light.
Raymond was an avid fisherman and hunter in his younger years. He found great joy in drinking coffee and visiting with his Choices for People family.
Raymond will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes: his brothers, Bill Light of Frankfort, MO, Bob Light and wife, Penny of Center, MO, Larry Light and wife, Elva of Hannibal, MO, Johnny Light and wife, Martha of Jefferson City, MO, and Kenny Light of Rolla, MO; one sister, Wanda Miller and husband, Rick of Rolla, MO; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service for Raymond E. Light will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions in honor of Raymond are suggested to Choices for People.

We’re working on something pretty special 💛

Our Day Services locations launched Choices Across America with one goal…Collect something from all 50 states!!

Postcards, drawings, fun notes… anything that helps us learn more about people and places across the country.

👉 Here’s where you come in:

If you have friends or family in another state, send this to them.

Ask them to mail us a postcard or a decorated cutout from where they live. A short hello or fun fact makes it even better.

This is more than just a project.

It’s about connection, learning, and a little kindness from all over the map.

Let’s see how many states we can reach together!

Exciting things are coming 👀

Thanks to a grant from Phelps County SB40, we’re bringing a new interactive learning program to our day services.

This means more opportunities, more growth, and more ways for the individuals we serve to build skills and stay engaged every day.

We’re always looking for ways to improve and create better experiences and this is a big step forward.
Grateful for partners like SB40 who help make this possible 💙

Things have been so fun over at Day Services lately!!

We got to hang out with some chickens, we have been making the most of the nice weather with some trips to the park, and we have definitely been treating ourselves to ice cream along the way. Life is good and we are soaking up every second of it.

More good days ahead and we cannot wait to share them with you.at
