The curtain closed on DSP Week with the Greatest Showman Carnival!!

We had the absolute BEST day celebrating our DSPs, getting pies in the face, and dunking the Chiefs!

We cannot thank our DSPs enough for everything they do for our individuals. We are beyond grateful for all every single one of them!

Also, we want to give a huge shout out to Food for your Soul, Spaceboys Tacos, The Lunch Box, Sugar High Baking Co, and Reaper’s Melt for coming out today and serving the best food around!

We had Wonka Wednesday, complete with golden tickets! And Take me out to the Ballgame Thursday!

It’s National DSP Week! We are beyond grateful for all of our Direct Support Professionals, and love celebrating them!

This week we are hitting the red carpet with different movie themes per day. Yesterday was Marvel Monday. Today is Toy Story Tuesday. Come back to see the rest of the week!

The Salem individuals have been focusing on cooking and kitchen safety skills. To support this goal, Day Services created a Cooking Club, where participants work together as a team to practice every step of preparing for a community bake sale. From planning and baking to selling, the group collaborated to build both skills and confidence. With the funds they raised, the Cooking Club chose to pay it forward by supporting a local business and community members. The team selected Seville Care Center, using their earnings to help purchase Christmas presents for the residents.

New look, same amazing team!!

Our CSO, Kori Crum, is our next amazing team member!

Kori Crum is the Chief Strategy Officer at Choices for People, where she oversees the Training, Marketing, and Quality Assurance divisions and helps guide the organization’s long-term planning. She has been with Choices for over two years. She brings nearly a decade of nonprofit experience, with a focus on building strong teams, developing sustainable strategies, and creating meaningful impact for the people we serve.

Outside of her role at Choices, Kori is dedicated to giving back to her community. She volunteers as a CASA advocate and has proudly served as a Girl Scout leader for the past 10 years, encouraging young girls to explore leadership and independence.

Kori is also a mom of three children, ages 18, 17, and 12, and is enjoying the “last firsts” that come with her kids growing up. Alongside her family and career, she is also a full-time college student, demonstrating that it is never too late to continue learning and striving for new goals. In her free time, she loves reading, traveling, and has recently discovered a love of snorkeling. A fun fact is that Kori collects turtle figurines and hopes to one day own a tortoise, long-lived enough that she jokes about needing to leave care instructions for it in her will. 🐢
