Practice a Moment of Gratitude
During the holiday season, pause for a moment to try this quick practice:

1. Take a slow, deep breath in, and out. Notice something that brings you comfort or joy.

2. Take another deep breath, in and out. Think of someone who made your day just a little easier or brighter.

3. Take one more deep breath, in and out. Appreciate one thing about yourself – something you did, learned, or simply showed up for.

These small moments of gratitude can help shift your mindset to a state of ease. Return to this practice any time, and teach it to a friend, partner, or child in your life.

The holiday season is often associated with togetherness, celebration, and time spent with family and friends. Yet for many people, this time of year can also bring feelings of loneliness.

If you notice someone becoming more withdrawn or isolated, reaching out can make a meaningful difference. Checking in regularly with a message or call, offering specific invitations, and listening without judgment can help them feel seen and supported. Encourage them to talk about how they’re feeling, and share helpful resources, if they need additional support.

This holiday season, many young children will receive their first smartphone as a gift. Smartphones are essentially small computers, and internet access can expose your child to a world of risks. With social media and texting, children can be exposed to cyberbullying, inappropriate content, and sexting, which can lead to sexual blackmail.

There are ways to help keep them safe and ensure children are smart while using their phones. Visit our website for more info:
