In 2007, Julie Payne and Susan Schlag met as MFT Interns and dreamed of someday starting a group private practice together. In 2016, Julie and Susan made that dream a reality and opened the doors of Peninsula Center for Children & Families. Along with a team of handpicked and well trained therapists, we are pleased to offer quality collaborative mental health care to individuals, couples, children and famiiles. Our areas of specialty include: trauma, chronic illness, infertility, adoption/foster families, military individuals and families, grief and loss, codependency and addiction. Our therapists have training and certification in varying modalities of therapy including Art therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy, Solution Focused, CBT, Child-Parent Psychotherapy, Seeking Safety, Mindfulness and Somatic (Body Based Awareness).
