Last night I did a Facebook live on all things COVID-19 including talking to your children about the virus, coping with the shift in routine, and self care. Thanks to at Laura Stotland for putting it on and Melissa Dumas of U Help You for the great conversation!

Those of us who are natural born caretakers often forget this. Your well-being is important, you are important. Make yourself as much of a priority as you make others today and every day!

I bought this notebook when I began the planning process to open my practice. It was a huge step for me and I felt like he cover was a reminder that I was following the dream that began in 8th grade when I saw my own therapist for the first time. ~Shout out to Norma, wherever you are!~
This road has challenged me in so many ways, and really inspired my growth.
Last night I filled the last empty page in this notebook. I wanted to take a moment to sit in gratitude for each person that has supported me on this journey; the family, friends, supervisors, coworkers, and of course, clients.
What a beautiful journey it’s been so far!

What are your dreams and how are you pushing yourself towards them today?

Am I Enough?
Doesn't this question haunt us all? It's always in the wings, waiting to take the wind right out of our sails. Check out my newest blog post for a bit of inspiration on how to tackle this tricky little monster.

Am I Enough? This question… this question haunts us all in so many ways. This question creeps into crevices in our lives and strikes out at us, making us feel uncertain and unworthy. In our achievement and success oriented society, we are beat over the head with this question, Am I Enough, every. ...

There's a new post on my blog today, and this one is personal. I talk about my parenting struggle with my daughter and how I changed my perspective, instead of trying to change who she is.

This may be an unpopular post, it may be hard to read, it will most likely be hard to write… but it is an important post because I see this issue all over my practice, and even in my personal life. As it turns out, therapists are people too (hmm….I think I might have written … Continue reading...

New on the Blog this week...
Are you tuning out when you should be tuning IN?
I've learned in my career that not all coping skills are created equal. Check out the post to learn about the spectrum of skills and develop some healthy ones that will deepen your emotional experience and help lighten your load.

One of the first steps of working with most clients is exploring their coping skills. If I had a dollar for every time I’ve heard “I binge watch something on Netflix” or “I just scroll through (place social media site here)”, I’d have some serious vacation money saved up… helllooooo be...

Just a reminder to get you over the hump this week. We can be our own worst critic. Instead, today be your biggest fan and see if that changes things for you!

New on the blog! GAMES!!!
In my sessions with kiddos lately, I have been hearing that they are craving time with their parents. We live in a busy world and as adults, a lot of us have gotten used to a hectic lifestyle; but our children’s brains aren’t built that way. They are built to play and connect. And what better way to do that than with games everyone can enjoy.
Check out the blog for games that I used in sessions that are fun, but also serve a therapeutic purpose.
