We want you to know the people behind Mosaic Wholeness Center. This is Trina Lynch, MA, LPC.

Trina is a licensed professional counselor specializing in trauma recovery, grief, attachment wounds, and women’s emotional health. Before becoming a therapist, she studied graphic design, and that background shapes everything about how she works. She learned to see what others miss, to notice patterns beneath the surface, and to find the coherence in what feels fractured. She brings that same quality of attention to every person who sits across from her.

If you have been carrying something heavy and you are ready to finally put it down, Trina would love to walk alongside you. Book an appointment here: https://mosaicwholenesscenter.com/book-an-appointment/

If you’ve been losing sleep over someone else’s choices, this is for you.
The spouse, the parent, the adult child who keeps hoping this time will be different. You are carrying something incredibly heavy, and you’ve probably been doing it alone for a long time.
Support for yourself isn’t giving up on them. It might actually be what changes things.

We want you to know the people behind Mosaic Wholeness Center. This is Jesus Rivera, MA, LPC.

Jesus is a licensed professional counselor who specializes in anxiety, addiction, gambling concerns, and life transitions. He brings 18 years of experience as a para-educator into the therapy room, which means he knows what it looks like to show up for someone who has been overlooked. As a 2.5-generation Puerto Rican, he offers a space that is culturally grounded, faith-sensitive, and genuinely welcoming to people who have never quite felt seen by a therapist before.

If you have been looking for someone who will actually get you, Jesus would love to connect.

Most of us were never taught that avoiding emotions doesn’t make them disappear. It just sends them underground, where they quietly shape our decisions, our relationships, and our sense of self.

Emotional avoidance is one of the most common patterns I see in the therapy room. And the first step out of it isn’t dramatic. It’s just noticing.

So try it: “An emotion I often avoid is ___, and today I will ___ instead.”
Drop your answer in the comments, or just sit with it. Either way, you’re already doing the work.

Healing inside a relationship is some of the hardest work a person can do.

Because it requires you to be vulnerable with the same person who has hurt you. To stay in the room when every instinct says to shut down or walk away. To believe that something better is possible when you have been disappointed enough times to stop expecting it. It takes courage. And it takes a guide.

At Mosaic Wholeness Center, our counselors are trained in approaches that help partners actually reach each other again, not just learn to coexist more politely. We work with couples navigating conflict, distance, betrayal, and the slow drift that happens when life gets busy and connection gets pushed to the back.

Your relationship is worth fighting for. And you do not have to fight alone.

Something nobody says enough about grief: it does not only come from death.

You can grieve the end of a friendship that just quietly faded. A marriage that did not survive. A version of your life you had planned on. A childhood that should have been different. A parent who was physically present but emotionally somewhere else entirely.

These losses are real. They deserve to be mourned. But because there is no funeral, no formal moment of acknowledgment, people often carry them in silence and wonder why they still feel heavy years later.

If you are walking around with something unresolved that you have never quite had space to name, that weight has a place to land.

Counseling at Mosaic Wholeness Center is that space. No minimizing, no rushing, no "at least." Just honest, skilled support as you work through what you have been carrying.

We are based in Rolling Meadows and offer virtual sessions across Illinois. mosaicwholenesscenter.com or (847) 925-7327.

Emotional distress is more than feeling stressed or overwhelmed. It weighs on your sleep, relationships, concentration, and sense of self. It can appear as irritability, withdrawal, physical tension, or a persistent feeling that something is wrong, even if you can't name it.

Emotional distress is often a signal, not a flaw. It's your mind and body communicating that something needs attention.

Common sources include relationship conflict, major life transitions, grief, work pressure, and unresolved trauma. While distress is a normal part of being human, you don't have to carry it alone or push through without support.

Therapy provides a space to slow down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and build the tools to move through it in a healthier way.

At Mosaic Wholeness Center, we work with individuals, couples, and families who are navigating emotional distress at all stages of life. In-person and telehealth sessions available in English, Spanish, and Korean.
