✨ Wicca Wednesday: Grand Samhain Celebration ✨
The witch’s new year is here! Samhain is when the veil thins, ancestors gather, and magic overflows. Tonight, we honor the old ways and step into new beginnings with a spell and ritual inspired by Scott Cunningham—plus a little Mothra Madness flair.
🕯️ Samhain Ritual & Spellwork 🕯️
1. Prepare your altar with:
• Jack-o’-lanterns and carved pumpkins
• Photos or mementos of ancestors
• Black, orange, and white candles
• Crystals: obsidian (protection), amethyst (spirit connection), smoky quartz (letting go), and carnelian (courage)
• Incense: mugwort, patchouli, or cinnamon
• Apples, pomegranates, and nuts as offerings
• Bundles of sage or rosemary
• A cauldron or fire-safe bowl for burning wishes
• Cinnamon sticks, autumn leaves, and a pentacle centerpiece
2. Write down what you want to release from the past year. Place the paper in your cauldron. Light it with intention, letting the smoke carry away the old.
3. Offer apples or pomegranates to your ancestors. Speak their names, share a story, or simply send your love across the veil.
4. Sprinkle salt or protective herbs for new beginnings.
5. Close with Scott’s classic Samhain blessing: “As the old year dies and the new is born, I honor those before me and welcome what’s to come. So mote it be!”
Tonight, celebrate your journey—honor your roots, release what weighs you down, and set your wildest intentions for the year ahead. The magic is yours. 🔮🦋
