“I needed a grounding, reaffirming practice and yoga became that for me. I pull pieces of it into my daily life constantly—breathing, affirmations, presence, all of it. I genuinely don’t know who I’d be without the mind–body–earth connection I’ve built here. 2026 is absolutely my year to deepen my study and practice.”
Meet Nirvana:
Grew up in Cartersville . I like to say I’m new to Rome, but realistically I’ve been here a little over a year I just have no real concept of time.
How long have you been doing yoga?
Since September of last year! It’s something I’ve always wanted to do and somehow never got around to… and now it’s fully essential to my life. Like, non-negotiable.
Favorite yoga pose: Been loving pigeon pose recently. I’m on a personal mission to locate and release all the hip trauma… if you know, you know.
Favorite food?
I’ll destroy a cheeseburger any day of the week, but my current obsession is baby carrots.
Favorite local restaurant? Yummy Thai—but NYC Eats is closing in fast.
TV recommendation: Just finished All Her Fault on Peacock and fully binged it. Absolutely worth staying up past your bedtime.
Hobbies: Surviving my 20s. That’s it. That’s the hobby.
Job/occupation: I spend half my time serving at IHOP here in town, and the other half helping with training and admin work at our company office in Marietta. Pancakes and spreadsheets.
Community groups: I’m open to try new things, so totally invite me pretty please! I just come here to Springstone and go to pilates at Puppies & Pilates once a week!
Personal mantra: Breathe with purpose, move with intention, live aligned.
