Pediatric Clinic Front Desk Administrative Assistant Position

This role is vital in ensuring a welcoming environment for our young patients and their families while supporting the clinic's daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct phone calls.
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic calendar.
- Check patients in and out for appointments.
- Maintain and update patient records.
- File, scan, and organize documents.
- Handle correspondence including emails, mail, and faxes.
- Greet patients and families professionally.
- Assist with new patient registration and intake forms.
- Manage waiting room flow and ensure comfort.
- Verify insurance eligibility and coverage.
- Collect co-pays and payments.
- Assist with billing inquiries and insurance claims.
- Maintain a clean and child-friendly waiting area.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus.
- Previous experience in a medical or pediatric office preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in using office software and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
