We’re loving Assisted Living Week! 💛 Today was definitely a 10 out of 10 kind of day — Brandi treated us to a refreshing lemonade bar and delicious fruit trays. 🍋🍓 We also enjoyed some toe-tapping tunes from Southern Breeze and had fun playing a little Bingo! 🎶 What a perfect way to celebrate! 😊

🇺🇸 Never Forget Luncheon at Brookdale Rome. Today, on this solemn day of remembrance — 9/11 — we gathered at Brookdale Rome to honor and thank the brave men and women who serve our community with unwavering courage and dedication.

We were proud to host our Never Forget Luncheon for the incredible first responders of Rome, Georgia, as a small gesture of our deep appreciation. Your service, sacrifice, and strength do not go unnoticed — not today, and not ever.

To all our firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and emergency personnel: thank you for standing on the front lines and always answering the call. You are true heroes.

And to everyone in our community who joined us in remembering and honoring the lives lost and the heroes of 9/11 — thank you for standing united in gratitude and respect.

Heather Minor is the Health and Wellness Director of Brookdale Rome in Rome, Georgia. She has been with Brookdale since 2021. She is eternally grateful for her team of CNAs, care partners, and med techs, and says that taking care of seniors is more than her calling.

“It’s a blessing. I treat residents like I would my own family. I love taking care of them. Society doesn’t do enough for the elderly; they are so easily pushed aside. I am so grateful to play a part in taking care of them.”
