Romeo Guild of Art The RGA is a diverse community of artists and art lovers who meet the second Tuesday of the month from Sept to June. 7p-9p.

Our next meeting will be April 14th, 7pm at the United Methodist Church in Romeo, located at 280 N. Main Street. The meeting begins at 7pm followed by snacks and then a presentation.Our presenter will be Cheryl Perkins, a painter who is a proud alumnus and current faculty member at College for Creative Studies. Sorry for the late notice but our next meeting of the RGA is March 10th, 7pm at the United Methodist Church in Romeo, located at 280.N. Main Street. As usual we will begin with a meeting followed by snacks and then a presentation which begins around 8. If you are RGA curious we welcome guests who would like to check us out.

Our presenter for this month will be Peter Bernal. Peter Daniel Bernal grew up in Houston, Texas and graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2000 with a BFA in painting. He received additional education at the Rhode Island School of Design and trained in printmaking and drawing in Weimar, Germany, where he lived from 2010 to 2015. In 2015, he relocated from Germany to Detroit. His primary focus is on storytelling-based oil painting but he also creates polychromed ceramic, linoleum prints, and pastels. In the past two years, he has completed several murals around Detroit, under the Perez pseudonym.

Our next meeting is February 10th, 7pm at the United Methodist Church in Romeo- located at 280 N. Main St. The meeting starts at 7pm followed by snacks and then a presentation around 8. If you would like to become a member or continue your membership please pay your dues this month. Please bring cash or a check made out to the Romeo Guild of Art. The cost is $25 for an individual or $35 for a family. Our presenter this month is Kenneth Hershenson. He is a self taught acrylic painter whose artistic approach is rooted in the twin disciplines of realism and illustration. Architectural design and illustration are the basis of much of his professional life, which included serving as
an architectural designer with Disneyland in California and designing Japan stores for Starbucks while living in Seattle.
He has participated in many juried art shows and has won a number of awards in
watercolor, drawing and painting. He creates images that provide the viewer with
a sense of joy, humor and a relief from the day-to-day stresses of 21st century life.

Our next meeting is January 13th, 7pm at the United Methodist Church in Romeo- located at 280 N. Main St. The meeting starts at 7pm followed by snacks and then a presentation around 8. Dues is due this month. Please bring cash or a check made out to the Romeo Guild of Art. The cost is $25 for an individual or $35 for a family. Our presenter is our own RGA president, Suzanne Guimond Wilson. Suzanne is an accomplished glass artist and in her own words "The topic is my five-year adventure with rare dalle de verre (slab) stained glass. Many of you know that as a lifelong administrator with no art school credentials, I have often felt like an “imposter” rather than a real artist.
